approval phase The home entity must provide a space for goal setting based on Leadership Development Assessment result, one week within the approval of the EP. To provide personal goal setting, you need to:

Outgoing preparation is a space delivered by the sending entity before EP leaves for his internship. Outgoing preparation should include:

- You need to know how the LDA works. - Check the EP LDA Results in His profile. - Try to have an eective one to one Conversation. - Try to build the EP goal setting based on a specific model. - Make sure you walk the EP through his/her LDA Results.

- Cultural Preparation for the Eps. - LEAD Based on defining elements. - AIESEC Way and an explanation of AIESEC purpose.

approval phase Hosting entity should send Invitation letter and visa booklet to the Exchange Participant by email within 48 hours from Approval. Visa booklet should include the needed information regarding, the type of visa he needs to apply for, procedures to issue it, and renew it, and documents needed to issue visa/work permit.

The home entity ensures that the EP has a valid insurance policy to cover basic medical costs for the duration of the exchange. - The Insurance should be medical Insurance. - The insurance should cover his/her whole duration of the internship.

Expectation setting is a space provided by the hosting entity before EP comes for his internship. Expectation setting should include information about: - Basic information about the counter - Political situation - Culture - Safety, - Living standards - Contacts of the host and home entity responsibles - Basic living costs

approval phase

In the expectation setting space, hosting entity should confirm with EP info about: - JD with enabler, working hours and duration. - JD must have clear responsibilities and goals. - Duration of internship is minimum 6 weeks and maximum 78 weeks for all programs. - Minimum working hours are a minimum of 35 hours/week for GT and 25 hours/week for GV&GE.

REALIZATION phase - The EP is picked up by a representative of AIESEC. Before realization the Host entity will state where the EP will be picked up and has provided written information to the EP on any domestic transportation required to arrive at this point of pickup. - Question that we ask EP in MoS survey: Was the pick up arrangement communicated before arrival and fulfilled?. - You should provide the pickup guidelines on YOP. - The pickup detailed info should be sent to the intern once he/she is approved.

- The accommodation standard, conditions and costs during the internship correspond to the information provided on the Opportunity. AIESEC arranges this accommodation for the EP. - Question that we ask EP in MoS survey: Was the accommodation according to the expectation set with you by AIESEC? - You should clarify the minimum accommodation standards on YOP. - More detailed info to be sent upon approval. - Kindly check the accommodation checklist here.

REALIZATION phase The host entity must oer an Incoming Preparation (for leadership development of EP and follow up on his/her personal goals set before traveling) once the EP arrives to the host entity, and before the internship starts. Question that we ask EP in MoS survey: Did AIESEC in [host_lc_name] invite you to a preparation once you arrived?

A representative of AIESEC ensures that the EP is assisted to the place/organization of work on the first day of the internship. What is the question that we ask EP in MoS survey: Did an AIESEC representative assist you on your first day of work?

- The host entity must ensure that the Opportunity Provider provides at least one space to align Job Description with personal goals and one space to debrief on it before the end of the internship. - What is the question that we ask EP in MoS survey: Did the [branch_name] provide you space to align your job description with personal goals at the beginning and end of your experience?

development phase As we have seen in the previous week, the intern has already attended their first day of work and has attended the first development space with the enabler which aligns their Personal goals with the Job Description and a detailed plan to measure their progress in work. Now what needs to happen is the fulfillment of three important standards which were previously communicated to the intern as we have seen in the Approval phase. Yes, we are talking about standards 10, 11 & 12 which are Job Description, Duration and Working Hours respectively. Your job is simple, you need to ensure that the enabler is providing the EP with the Job Description as communicated, Working hours per day and the entire duration of the internship. This can be done via the means of simple sensing with the intern on a biweekly/monthly basis and communicating to the enabler in case it is not being fulfilled.

development phase lead So, as you know, LEAD is defined as hosting spaces where an individual can reflect, introspect, understand themselves better to enhance their leadership by making them Learn, Engage, Act and Develop. There are three things you need to be aware of LEAD which are the LEAD content, LEAD Facilitation and LEAD environment. You are already aware of the fact that every intern takes their LDA and comes to the internship with an assessment, your primary responsibility is to cater to this requirement by the means of facilitating one of the 12 elements of LEAD elements which is relevant to the intern based on their LDA. The content for these elements along with other details can be found here: http://www.aies.ec/lead After this LEAD based on LDA has been delivered, we further recommend you to deliver 3 LEADs through the tenure of the internship to ensure that all the 4 major elements are covered. To help you understand which LEAD should be delivered when, we suggest you to go through this document: bit.ly/XPmapping and refer to the example stated here.

closing phase - The LC Host must provide all migration information to the trainee as the expiration or extension of your VISA or Entry Stamp. - It will also deliver logistical information to travel to the airport or bus station. - This is the question we ask EP in the MoS Survey: Were you explained the legal procedure on how to leave the country?

- Analyze the exit LDA results and based on that select the LEAD session which is need it. - Guide the debrief through questions to facilitate emotional closure of the experience and guarantee EPs reflect on their inner & outer journey, their own values and final impact of the exchange on them. - This is the question we ask EP in the MoS Survey: Did AIESEC in [home_lc_name] contact you at the end of your experience?

thanks! @Egypt
