Is basic first aid a duty?
Thousands of people die in Britain every year from situations where first aid could have made a real difference. Around 60% of people admit that they wouldn’t feel confident enough to TRY to save a life and a quarter of people saying they would do nothing to help somebody. Is it our duty as citizens within a society to learn how to help save a life? Should basic first aid training be a compulsory part of school life?
