If you haven’t been to Durant’s newest pizza place, Craft Pies, you’re missing out. At Craft Pies you get to build your own pizza, and choose from many different sauces, cheeses, and toppings. For this experience, we chose to create our own pizza combinations.
"THE CHICKEN WING" "CHICKEN BACON
EXTRAVAGANZA"
This pizza is a wacky take on everyone’s favorite - chicken wings! It's made with their popular magic oil, buffalo sauce, buffalo mozzarella, jalapeños, spinach, and topped with more mozzarella. The jalapeños gave it a kick that is mellowed with Ranch dressing.

Everyone loves bacon. This pizza is made with magic oil, alfredo sauce, chicken, feta, mushroom, onions, and BACON. Cheesy and creamy with a mild taste, these slices were heavy on onions and deliciously rich.
"THE PICKY PETE"
Basic pepperoni is the best pepperoni. No surprises. you get exactly what you order. This is definitely a crowd-pleasing pizza! Pepperoni. Mozzarella. More pepperoni. Delizioso!

What’s your favorite thing about being a SSL?

"It’s an amazing feeling to look around and see so many spirited SE students shouting the Fight Song as loud as they can. I love being surrounded with people who help me bring out the best version of myself!"
The Savage Storm Leaders is an organization focused on being enthusiastic and spirited campus leaders. SSLs are the “hype” people on campus. They host Camp SE, The Big Blue Experience, and the university's Curriculum contests. Their job is to make sure that incoming, or potential incoming students, feel comfortable, prepared, and excited for their years at Southeastern. We asked Rylee Dunlap, a junior at Southeastern and a second year member a few questions about what it means to be an SSL.
What type of tree would a SSL be? A Christmas Tree lol. Bright, colorful, and spirited.
Toilet paper… over or under? Under. No question about it. Favorite thing about SE? The helpfulness and dedication of the professors and staff here. They truly are here to help you succeed, and some of these individuals have changed my life in the most positive way! Interested? Visit the Office of Student Life on the 3rd Floor of the Student Union. See Mitchell Emberson - he's kind of a cool dude.

What made you become one? When I was a freshman my greatest concern was whether I would make friends. My SSL helped me find my way at Southeastern. They were so cool and inspiring, I immediately decided that I would tryout for the next year.

My signature dance move is the milly rock. Whenever someone is taking a video on snapchat with music, that is my go to move. I can do it in the car, on the dance floor, or anywhere with music.
That would be Crocs. I remember when Crocs first came out and it was love at first sight. If I could wear crocs everyday for the rest of my life, I would. I would wear crocs at my own wedding if my future wife lets me.
Money by Cardi B. She is my queen and my favorite female artist.
I could NOT live without fruit loops with marshmallows, I already loved fruit loops but they added marshmallows and that was a complete game-changer for the cereal game.
My best Twitter moments are when there are tweets about Crocs and people always tag me in them. I want to be known as the croc guy.
My biggest kitchen fail was my freshman year. I was trying a new recipe for grilled chicken and I misread how much lemon pepper seasoning to put on the chicken. I put like 3 times too much seasoning. Imagine taking a bite of a lemon and tasting a hint of chicken. I still ended up eating it because I was broke and I didn’t want to waste the chicken. Now I reread ingredients 3 to 4 times.
I actually just got voted into SGA as a senator. I am apart of A.L.L, and I was a part of the famous Campus Note at one point‌ Best semester of my college career. I am a part of the Savage Storm football team.
I play defensive line. Number 92. Come out Saturday and support ya boy.

The Trippie Hippie Co. is a locally owned boutique in downtown Durant. The Trippie Hippie Co. started out when long time friends Hillary Moody and Chelsea Sweet decided to go into business together to create a new hotspot for unique stylings. The pair had dreamed of opening up a boutique for years, and when a location opened up downtown, they decided to take the chance and go for it. The store’s vibe is peaceful and laidback, with throwback songs on the radio and clothing options for both men and women. Hillary and Chelsea want their customers to come in and find original pieces you can’t find anywhere else. Hillary says, “We wanted to bring something new to Durant. We want people to come here, love our stuff, and be different from everyone else.”
