Why I Still Wear A Mask Why Brenna Tuttle, a Junior Music major, still wears a mask. Q: What drives you to want to Q: Do you wear a mask anytime you continue masking? A: Being enter a university building? A: Most masked and vaccinated is the best of the time, yes, I do wear masks in way to ensure the safety of those all university buildings. Typically, the around me. There is nothing I can only time I don't wear one is in do about those who refuse to do chorale. We are all vaccinated in either. As for myself, I will always there which is why I feel comfortable choose to do what I can to help going maskless for rehearsals. protect the safety of others.

I choose to continue wearing a mask because I do not know what everyone is experiencing when they go home. Last year, one of my brothers was diagnosed with cancer and was incredibly immunocompromised while undergoing treatment. The masked people around me did not know how much they were helping me and my family. This semester, though the mask mandate has frivolously been lifted, I know there are still people around me who could not survive COVID. I wear a mask out of respect for others. Sleep Tight...but you don't know how, huh? I bet you lay down in bed, close your eyes and "wait" to go to sleep. STOP! YOU LOOK SILLY! Glue your eyes to this page and absorb this sweet, sleepy knowledge because we are going to knock you out the right way!

Eat some Birds

If a diet solution is what you are seeking, look no further than tryptophan. This soothing amino acid can only be obtained through food and is used to produce melatonin, a major regulator in your sleep-wake cycle. Chicken and turkey are the fan favorite for achieving this full-bellied coma, but other common substitutes include milk, nuts, and tuna.

Shake it to a Rythm

Your body likes a pattern! All you have to do is tell your body when to groove! Endorphins and body temperature are key components in letting your guts know when it's time to move, it just so happens that exercise is a mediator for both! Regularly finishing an exercise in the morning or 2 hours before bed will help regulate your sleep cycle and prevent those drowsy days of torpor.

That Darn Phone! How many times do we have to tell you to SHUT OFF THE PHONE? You know our brains can't ascertain whether the rays of blue light are coming from the sun or your screen! You'll be awake as long as you keep scrolling!

Article by Braden Rudolf - Sleep Tight, Kiddo!

You Need a Shower... Delving back into thermoregulation, if you get too busy for exercise try enlisting some hot water help. By raising your core temperature in the shower 1-2 hours before bed, the body is fooled into kickstarting the sleep cycle due to the rapidly escaping body heat experienced after getting out. And you'll smell nice!

One of the many places in Downtown Durant that everyone should know about is Opera House Coffee, located at 202 Evergreen St. Durant, OK. If you love coffee just as much as I do, Opera House is the best place to be. The atmosphere and the environment is laid back and the perfect place to socialize with your best friends, or to create some new friends. The shop is also aesthetically pleasing for mini photo shoots inside or outside with yourself, friends, for a new Instagram profile picture, or just to bless everyone's news feed.

Victoria Lemons, a barista at Opera House, has been a part of the business ever since the owners opened it back in March of 2018. Their mission was to create an atmosphere for social gatherings and that mission was accomplished. Victoria loves to go to Opera House even on her days off to socialize with her friends, or for time to herself.

Victoria says Opera House is the best place to study, socialize privately, and a great place to start for Freshman. If any of you Freshies love lattes of any kind, visit Victoria Lemons and she will not dissapoint!
