Lot 24 Selling 2/3 interest and full possession Gridlock is a very impressive herd sire whose progeny has been consistently among the best born at LLB over the last four years. He has sired the top selling bulls and heifers in our last six sales, most recently the $58,000 top selling yearling bull last spring was a Gridlock grandson. Again in this sale offering his progeny are stamped with extra depth of body and structural correctness. A maternal sister to Gridlock was the $14,000 top selling female in our sale last fall to Leela Farms in Ontario. Nearly two hundred Gridlock offspring are recorded in the CAA Herd Book, all from natural service, his bull calves report an average birth weight of 84 lbs, with a life ratio of 106, and his heifer calves report an average birth weight of 84 lbs with a life ratio of 103. Old Post Bandolier is a powerful individual with extra body mass and excellent feet and legs. Genex leased Old Post to bolster their straight Canadian, total out cross semen inventory. Old Post daughters were among the top selling heifers last spring, one for $25000, another for $20000 and a $7000 heifer calf was among the top sellers last fall. An Old Post heifer calf sold to Tullamore Angus last fall has gone on to be a division Champion at the recent Ontario Preview Show, there is certainly another show heifer prospects among his daughters in this offering. His sons have been well received as well, they have excellent feet with extra testicle development and record some of the top weaning and yearling weights.
