the Farmhouse
hat started as a tag for a homemade gift has grown into a new collection that embodies all that is Farmhouse— rustic decor, the country kitchen, vintage cookware and bakeware, etc. Our inspiration came from the idea of simple gifts and food that comes from a place of warmth and love - the kitchen. This inspiration enabled us to design a product line that captures the essence of creating and gift-giving, whether that be homemade goods or handmade gifts.
the Farmhouse Apron
T
his collection steps us away from many of our traditional releases with many new products that take you beyond scrapbooking, card making and paper crafts and into a broader spectrum of creativity. Along with our 12x12 papers, we have designed a collection where the items stand on their own, but also work amazingly well together. The cardstock papers are printed on kraft and ivory base papers and mix and match beautifully; we are introducing a line of tags that focuses on gift giving with 10 of the same tags per pack so that you can create your homemade items with the tag of your choice; new recipe cards; thank you and panel cards that can be used just as they were designed or incorporated in any paper craft project; solid paper placements ready to be decorated; a menu card that is the perfect final touch to any table top setting and a variety of printed file folders that are perfect for holding photos, recipe cards, post cards or to make one-of-a-kind cards. The printed items were all done in ivory and black or kraft and black so they will coordinate with any color palette and also allowing you to add color to the artwork (of course we love to suggest Tattered Angels Paints). Along with the range of paper goods, we have red and green table runners, new Avocado clothespins in both mini and small; canvas and burlap silverware holders and our favorite item of all…..a 13”x17” printed fabric sheet that coordinates with our printed papers. Please enjoy this look book as a source of inspiration that shows the flexibility of the Farmhouse Collection.
Sincerely, Canvas Home Basics Team
The Farmhouse Apron is one of our most coveted projects from this collection. It started with our canvas multi-pocket apron (CVS3333) and we added all that we love in avocado and red. We incorporated simple sewing and lots of gluing. For the project sheet on our Farmhouse Apron go to blog.canvascorpbrands.com.
the Market
Farmer’s Market tote
The freshest recipes start with the freshest ingredients. What better place to purchase these ingredients than your local farmer’s market? Instead of using plastic bags, design your own, starting with our Burlap Market Tote. Create a pocket with our new Farmhouse Canvas Fabric Panel (CVS3520) and either sew or stitch into place. Add burlap accents to the pocket and top of the tote. The long handles make this perfect for shopping and it will be the envy of everyone at the market.
This design is actually printed onto a 13”x17” canvas sheet and can be cut to create pockets like this.
Create this fun tote tag by cutting 3-4 different circles of fabric and paper and then stitching them together. Slip a little fabric tab at the top and sew to one side. Hold in place with one of our clothespins.
the Recipes
Recipes make a very special gift because they are so personal and help bring back treasured memories. Store your own or start a collection for someone special with these great ideas.
Favorite Recipes Crate Create this for yourself or consider making one for each person on your list. This 7Gypsies Vintage Photo Crate is not just for photos. It is perfect for storing recipes so consider making one for the brideto-be. Have each member of the bridal party make a folder, fill it with recipes and simply add it to the crate. Don’t forget to date and sign your recipes so they will live on forever. You can always jot a recipe down on a recipe card, try writing it on a panel card, post card or other unusual blank to spice things up.
Create your own file folders with any Canvas Home Basics Papers, simply trace the file folder shape, cut, score and fold and you’ve created your own file folders.
on the Menu Recipe Book Start with one of our Tabbed Books (available in black or white) and fill it with pockets, small paper bags, folders, nooks and crannies that are perfect for storing written recipes, copies of old recipes, folded printed recipes or recipes that are cut from magazines. The entire Farmhouse Kitchen collection is filled with papers, folders, cards and tags perfect for pairing with your choice of accent colors (we used avocado in our model) and a variety of our basic items. Our Farmhouse Stripe offers a wide range of embellishments‌ letting you customize your book. To display the book, let it stand on its own or hang using the 7Gypsies Photo Display Stand (12693) a perfect fit for our Tabbed Books.
Layer burlap, canvas and paper with touch of jute to create each page. When working with paper, fabrics and specialty paper, we suggest Beacon’s 3 in 1 Glue.

the Farmhouse Burlap Banner
This vintage inspired banner brings together burlap and our Farmhouse Printed Cardstock and sits perfectly above this collection of vintage pans. You can adjust your banner size to fit any space. Each banner piece can come in a variety of shapes and sizes including these Mini Burlap Shapes - ‘Pocket’. Choose from a variety of shapes and mix and match to make it your own. Our letters were created with 7Gypsies Chipboard letters and painted with Tattered Angels High Impact Paint. Options to finish the banner include clothespins, fabric tabs or sewing the pieces right to the jute, ribbon or rope. Pick the materials and colors to match your theme and decor. ed way with a rustic banner or ng for a holiday, a special day or any day.
the Farmhouse Burlap Table Runner Nothing dresses up a table more than a table runner. To create this casual centerpiece, we used our 7x96 Burlap Skinny Runner. To get the distressed edges, we snipped then tore the Farmhouse Kitchen printed canvas into strips. Then, the pieces were sewn together end to end, with edges showing. Finally, a zig zag stitch down the middle finishes this rustic banner.
the Table the Farmhouse Table
Creating a unique farmhouse kitchen theme for your table will set your dinner party apart from the rest. These clever ideas are easy to create and can be used over and over again. Since buffet-style dining is so popular, we wanted to share a few ideas for adding a creative touch.
Charming canvas silverware holders complete the vintage vibe when you add a contrasting zig zag stitch, a tiny bow and menu card from Farmhouse Kitchen Labels paper.
Our new paper placemats (in kraft, white, ivory & chalkstock) are a great starting place to make your table extra special. Add details from Farmhouse Kitchen Stripe paper and a square of colorful burlap for a setting folks won’t forget.
Chalkstock placecards with a square of Journal Lines on Ivory paper and antique silver cutlery welcome guests to the table.
the Farmhouse Menu Our Menu Cards are a unique way to let folks know what’s on the menu. Display them in a 7Gypsies Vintage Book Stand for the perfect addition to your table.
Create a menu of the party’s fare using our Chalkstock Paper, a white paint pen and a few details from our Farmhouse Kitchen Stripe Paper.
Our 7gypsies Vintage Clips are perfect for holding personalized food cards for buffet style dining.

the Farmhouse Gifts Make your own party bags with our black, white and kraft paper bags, simply fill with treats, candies or even note cards. Flip the top over, punch two holes, add a tag and tie with cute cord. Add paper details to the bottom as shown.

We added fabric, paper and burlap to our Kraft & Canvas Greeting Cards and sewed a pocket on the inside to get this look.
To spice up the canvas apron, we added avocado and red burlap to a pocket, perfect for holding our kraft recipe cards.
Trim the cute pig out of printed fabric then stitch or glue him to a round canvas shape and pin to an avocado burlap flower.
Use Tattered Angels paints to mist our French Script printed canvas, then layer with printed artichoke on canvas and sew or glue to bib.
