JULIATHEODORATATTOO Tattoos have always fascinated me. I got my first one at 17, and I instantly fell in love with the scene—the people, the lifestyle, and the way tattoos let you stand out from society. Funny enough, my journey into tattooing started as a bit of a joke.

My mentor, Sascha Linz, is a talented realism artist with over 10 years of experience, and we've known each other for 20 years. One day in 2020, I casually said, "If you ever need an apprentice, let me know." To my surprise, he replied, "Your drawings remind me of mine before someone taught me the ropes. I can teach you, and we'll see how it goes." That was the beginning of everything.

For the first year and a half, I focused entirely on drawing to build confidence and master the fundamentals. Only after that did I move on to working with a tattoo machine starting on fake skin and, eventually, real clients. Looking back, it's been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I'm so glad I took that first step.

My work is deeply rooted in realism, and my artistic influences come from a variety of sources. Within the tattoo world, I admire the work of my love & mentor Sascha Linz who push the boundaries of realism, creating pieces that are both technically precise and emotionally evocative. Outside of tattooing, I find inspiration in classical art, photography, and cinema. The way light and shadow interplay in a photograph or the storytelling in a great film often inform how I approach my designs. I'm also fascinated by nature and the small, intricate details it offers—it's a constant reminder of how realism can captivate through accuracy and depth.

My signature tattoo style is still developing—after a little over two years of tattooing regularly, I'm still finding my unique artistic voice. But I'd say my approach to realism tends to be clean and minimalistic. I focus on creating smooth contrasts and designing harmonious, well-balanced pieces. It's been a fun and challenging journey so far, and I'm excited to see how my style continues to evolve as I grow as an artist.

One experience that stands out to me was working with a young client, just 18 years old, who came to me for her first realistic full sleeve tattoo. The design was incredibly meaningful to her, as it was dedicated to her family, with a special focus on her mother. During the course of her appointments, her mother sadly passed away after a long illness.

It was an emotional process for both of us, as I could see how much this tattoo meant to her. I felt privileged to be part of helping her create something so personal and lasting. It's moments like these that remind me of the deeper impact tattoos can have they're not just art, but a way to carry memories and emotions with you forever.

In the future, I'd love to take on more complex and challenging pieces, especially in realism. My goal is to keep evolving as an artist while staying true to my style. For now, it's all about honing my craft and enjoying the journey—it's an exciting path, and I can't wait to see where it leads.

My journey began since I was a child and I discovered my passion for drawing and painting; However It was when I was a teenager that I fell in love with the world of tattooing, I was fascinated by the idea of combining art with human skin to create something unique and personal. After years of practice and dedication I decided to become a professional tattoo artist

My inspiration came from my devotion to art and the fascination of tattoo culture. I liked the idea of being able to create something that would be part of a person's identity.

I like various tattoo styles but my favorites are realism and neotraditional. I am attracted to these styles because they allow great creativity and freedom to experiment with different techniques and designs. realism allows me to create very detailed and realistic images while neotraditional allows me to combine classic elements with a modern touch.

A specific te.chnique that I have mastered is shading and texturing, I like to use different types of needles and shading techniques to create depth and dimension in my designs. I also like to experiment with different textures and patterns to add visual interest to my tattoos.

I like to take the time to listen to the client's ideas and wishes so I can create a design that fits their preferences.

My inspiration for my designs comes from art, nature and personal experiences. I like to look around me and find interesting patterns and shapes that I can incorporate into my designs. One of my most memorable tattoo projects has been a dragon that covered the client's back. The design was very detailed and required a lot of time and effort. The final result was incredible and the client was very happy.

My process with clients begins with a consultation session in which we talk about the ideas and interests they have, from there I create a sketch of the design and share it with the client and once they agree with the result we begin the tattoo process.

My advice to aspiring tattoo artists is to be patient and persistent. Tattooing is an art that requires a lot of practice and dedication. It is also important to have a mentor or an experienced instructor who can guide them along the way.

The culture and community in Florida have influenced my work because I like to incorporate elements of flora and fauna in my designs such as palm trees and sea animals. I also like to work with clients who have a personal connection and want to incorporate elements of culture into their tattoos.

My goals as a tattoo artist is to continue perfecting my techniques, expanding my portfolio, and attending international conventions. The new techniques and projects that I am excited to explore are the abstract and combine it with my realism techniques.
