After a period of turbulence in my life I´m back as editor in chief. Mark has new challenges in his working life and became a CEO in a tattoo related company in Denmark. Huge gratulations to you Mark and all the best your way.
This edition is number 15 and there are new things coming. First, we are back with Hard Rock and Heavy Metal pages. Mike from Scotland is our new writer and a big welcome to Mike.
We are also planning to start a new section in the magazine focusing on the growing Crypto market and NFT and Art will be covered in the upcoming issue.
Tattoo conventions is an important thing for us in My Tattoo Inc. We will slowly add more of the content to the magazine. We simply love it. Posters from tattoo conventions are vital. We will introduce the best 4 posters from the trade. Saluting the artwork from the master artists creating them.

Hailing from Winchester, NY this band deserves much more recognition than they get. Formed in 1995 (as Hinge) they started their musical adventure during the peak time for nu metal bands. Maybe that is why their music got a little bit lost among such nu metal titans as KoRn or Slipknot. But can Dry Kill Logic even be pigeon-holed as nu metal band? I would argue that they can’t. DKL music transcends labels – some call them metalcore, but the lead singer, Cliff Rigano once said that they will never “jump onto the metalcore bandwagon”. They like to mix things up – heavy riffs, double-bass drums and growling vocals turn into mind-blowing melodies, with clean vocals and catchy choruses. Dry Kill logic is one of those very few band I can listen to non-stop, over and over again, and I don’t think I can recall a time when I skipped a song. So far, the band recorded 3 albums (not counting self-released EPs under the name Hinge). Their first album “The Darker Side on Nonsense” gave them enough recognition to tour the world with the like of KoRn, Slayer, Ill Niño and Fear Factory.

It is heavy and straight to the point. The second album “The dead and the dreaming” gives us the same brutal intensity, but with more experiments and crossing over to other metal subgenres. Their latest album “Of Vengeance and Violence” continues along the same hard-hitting road the band set on from the start. Notable songs from DKL, which I personally love and would recommend, are: Rot, Nightmare, Paper Tiger, My Dying Heart, One handed knife fight (but like I said – I don’t think they have a song I would put a “meh” label on). You will be handbanging your metal-head off and once you learn the lyrics – you will be belting out the choruses giving your neighbor a heart attack! The band went quiet for a while after their last album, but they are still teasing new music (like a single “Vices”) and I, for once, cannot wait to hear more from them

Formed in 2000 by the lead singer and the only permanent member, Otep Shamaya, in Los Angeles, California, OTEP is one of those hard to label bands. Nu Metal? Rap Metal?
Alternative Metal? Death metal with nu metal influences? Well, I am not even going to attempt to put a label on this band. But they are very good at what they do. Even before Otep signed to a label their live show was witnessed by Sharon Osbourne, who invited them to play Ozzfest.
Throughout the years multitude of musicians played in the band and the line-up is changing all the time with Otep always being the core of the band. Otep Shamaya is an institution in her own rights – musician, poet, artist, voiceover artist (she did voices for creatures in Peter Jackson’s Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies). Otep is also a very skilled vocalist – from clean, soothing vocals, through rapping with a flow that would put some of the hip-hop artists to shame, to growls that seem to come straight from the bowels of hell – she can do it all. So far Otep released 8 albums with their first one, Sevas Tra, release exactly 20 years ago.

Then there were: House of Secrets, The Ascension, Smash the Control Machine, Atavist, Hydra, Generation Doom, and Kult 45. The band is not afraid to experiment with different styles – from very heavy and brutal, to psychedelic, to ballad-like song (e.g. “Lie” from the Generation Doom album). And they even covered Nirvana’s “Breed”, and I think their version sounds awesome. Otep can keep your attention throughout each of their albums. The lyrics play huge part in Otep’s music. Otep Shamaya is an outspoken, take-no-bullshit advocate for social justice, human and animal rights, and she lets her political opinions be known in her lyrics. Just listing to the latest album Kult 45 and you will know all there is it know about what OTEP stands for. So if you like music that is not boring and keeps you guessing give OTEP a try.

Welcome to the 7th Titanic Tattoo Convention 2022. We are situated at the Titanic Museum which is based in the famous belfast shipyard and only minutes away from belfast city centre. We have some amazing tattoo work over the weekend from some world famous artists and some more brilliant local artists. There is live entertainment for all ages, a live DJ and a full licensed bar all weekend. There will also be trade stalls selling a variety of items.
