s i s e Po How did you got in to be a tattoo artist? Throughout my entire life, I have been passionate about art. I’ve always been drawn to the idea of creating something beautiful and meaningful that can evoke emotions and inspire people. I was eager to start my artistic career. I first fell in love with tattoos when I discovered microrealism. The delicate details, coloring, strong connection to traditional art and the alternative style have absolutely amazed me. After getting my second tattoo from Kozo, while admiring the work and contemplating about the right artistic medium to dive into, I suddenly realized that tattooing is the perfect craft for me. Making a personal art work for new people every day - It's such an inspiring idea, I knew right then that it was something I absolutely had to try out. Later on I had the opportunity to learn from Kozo himself. I spent month by his side, watching him work and practicing on fake skin. After this short period, I continued to learn on my own. Practicing and perfecting my technique, navigating the tattoo world, developing the style and process you see today.

Which tattoo style do you prefer to create? I specialize in tattooing a unique style that I have developed. My signature style is a blend of color microrealism, surrealism, and symbolism. I take pride in bringing intricate, weird, imaginary and sometimes bizarre details to life through my art. My tattoos are a combination of colors, realistic imagery, and surreal designs that are meant to intrigue and make the viewer stop and think. My goal is to create a work of art that reflects and embodies the emotions, human experience, individuality and personality of my clients. Through my style, I create a personalized and unforgettable experience for each person who sits in my chair.

NONPOINT
Text by Mike Mikhell
DAs metal evolved over the years, new subgenres popped into existence. Among those subgenres are some that are hard to pigeonhole. Nonpoint falls
into
one
of
those
subgenres. Nonpoint is an interesting case of a band that never made it big. Don’t get me wrong, they are known to metal fans, but they have never achiever a global phenomenon status like some other band from the
Current members
90’s. And to be honest I do not know why. I think they are one
Elias Soriano – lead vocals
of those band who deserve
Robb Rivera – drums
much more recognition and respect than they are getting.
Rasheed Thomas – rhythm guitar, backing vocals Adam Woloszyn – bass Jaysin Zeilstra – lead guitar
Nonpoint
formed
in
1997
in
Fort
Lauderdale, Florida. The band released their
debut
major
label
album
Statement in 2000 and promoted it by extensive touring with bands such as Hed PE, Mudvayne, and Taproot. They also appeared on stage at the 2001 Ozzfest. Their second album Development was released two years later gaining them some more fans and wider recognition. It feature a great cover version of Phil Collin’s “In the air tonight”, which was used as theme song for the Miami Vice movie. The band continued their 2-year release cycle and their third effort Recoil hit the stores in 2004. After changing their record label, the bend
released
their
breakthrough
album To The Pain in 2005. Promoting the album was one of their biggest hits “Bullet
with
featured
in
a
name”
which
was
computer
games
and
movies, just like their second single “Alive and Kicking”.
Their next album Vengeance saw the light in 2007 and the band continued their signature style of melody, heaviness and all around good fun. Until today the band released 10 albums, the latest being X released in 2018. But what can you expect from pressing “play” on Nonpoint albums? Even though their first album was on a more aggressive and raw side, the band moved towards more groove oriented riffs and melodic vocals and vocal lines. Nevertheless they continue to underlay their sound with some serious heaviness. When you listen to songs like “Bullet with a name” or “Alive and Kicking” you just can’t stop banking your head and belting out the lyrics. It’s just pure, unadulterated energy! It’s my favourite music to listen when driving through the Scottish Highlands. Trivia: the band used a lot of frog symbolism on their album covers and they have even used samples of frog sounds on their second album! Give them a listen and enjoy.
SEVENDUST
Text by Mike Mikhell
On the more melodic metal spectrum, verging on hard/heavy rock, you will find Sevendust. They have been making music for ages (well, since 1994) and they are consistently good! Sevendust hails from Atlanta, Georgia, and they released their first, self titled album in 1997. Despite initial weak sales the album achieved Gold certification. One of the singles from that album “My Ruin” was feature on the soundtrack for the Mortal Combat film (even though they appear under the name Crawlspace on that album). By the end of the century they have played the biggest festivals, like Dynamo, Ozzfest and the infamous 1999 Woodstock. And in the same year they released their second album “Home”. On that album some guest vocalists appeared including Skin from Skunk Anansie and Chino Moreno from Deftones and the single “Fall” featured in the movie Scream 3.
Their big breakthrough came with their 3 album Animosity,
released
in
2001. This album brough international recognition to the band and the two singles
“Praise”
“Angel’s
son”
and
achieved
commercial success on the charts. After
some
personal
tragedies occur the band went on a brief hiatus, and
returned
in
2003
with their fourth album Seasons.
TIf I wanted to go album by album I would have to write a book. Until today Sevendust
released
14
albums! And I can tell you one thing they are very consistent
with
their
music, sound and general direction of the band. If you listen to the fist few albums and you like it, then I can guarantee that you will love the rest of the band’s releases.

a
perfect music for those moments you want to chill out and relax (but still headband in the deepness of your hard rocking soul). Lajon’s vocals are both soothing and aggressive (weird, huh?) and in my opinion he has one of the greatest voices in rock/metal today. Sevendust is one of those bands that once they’ve got you hooked you stay with them for a duration.
