Presentation Skills Presentation Skills Overview For many, the challenge is to develop the confidence to present. This course is designed to develop such confidence by providing a structured approach combined with practice.
Who is it for? Anyone who needs to present to large or small groups, in order to communicate ideas effectively and imaginatively.

What makes a presentation successful? Coping with nerves – the psychology of presenting Preparation – the five ‘Ws’. The key areas we need to consider when planning our presentation The use of prompts and visual aids Structuring the presentation – the beginning, middle and end Proposing your ideas – using benefits which are relevant to the audience Deliver the presentation in a confident manner Body language – the importance of posture and positioning Eye contact with the audience and rapport-building techniques Handling questions – structuring answers and developing rapport Turning negative situations into positives Prepare the presentation through research on the target group

On both days, delegates will have the opportunity to practise a presentation. This will involve the delivery of a presentation to the group for 5-10 minutes. Presentations will be video recorded and feedback offered from the group and trainer. Duration: 2 days Ref: FSGR6
