How Available Points Work

At the beginning of your use year, your Available Points are deposited into your vacation account. The use year for your Available Points is January 1 through December 31 of each calendar year.

Any unused Available Points at the end of your use year will expire unless you call an Vacation Concierge Specialist to have them banked for an additional year. There are some restrictions on when Available Points can be banked based on Loyalty Program level.

HOW MANY AVAILABLE POINTS DOES IT TAKE?

Available Points Utilization: when assessing how many Available Points you need to vacation, the following factors dictate the Available Points cost to reserve an accommodation or make an exchange:

• The Season or time in which you wish to travel

• The size of accommodations needed

• The length of stay

Please remember weekends and holidays will generally require more Available Points.

For each Capital Vacations destination, each day of the week is assigned a points value and each week of the year is within a designated season. Seasons are generally determined based upon location and demand of the applicable resort.

Learning To Read An Available Points Chart

This sample Available Points chart shows how many Available Points you will need to reserve a 1-bedroom suite at Grand Crowne Resort at different times. Each day has a Capital Point value, with Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays requiring fewer Available Points than other days. Weekends and holiday weeks are the most valuable, requiring more Available Points to stay on Friday or Saturday nights.

1. First, determine where and when you want to vacation.

2. Next, make sure you are within the correct Reservation Lead Time Window for the length of stay you’re requesting and that you have enough Capital Points remaining in your account for the accommodation type and length of stay. See page 258 for specific Lead Time Windows based on your VIP Loyalty Level.

3. You can either call a Vacation Concierge Specialist at 844-777-CLUB or go to CapitalVacationsClub.com. Whichever vacation planning option you choose, you’ll need your account name and number at hand. To utilize our online reservation system, you will also need your password.
