PROFILE AUSTRALASIAN RECOGNITION FOR CAPORN YOUNG TOP AWARDS FOR SALES & PROPERTY MANAGEMENT Strong competition from around Australia and across the Tasman was no match for Caporn Young at the 10th annual Australasian Real Estate Results Awards held in Sydney this month.
“It’s in these tougher conditions that a great real estate team can really prove that it’s worth its weight in gold. While other companies were ducking for cover, Caporn Young was able to increase its market share.
The team came away with three major wins - Siobhan Micale was named Sales Performer of the Year, Sheridan Currie was named Property Management Performer of the Year and CY associate director Stefanie Dobro was inducted into the ARERA Hall of Fame.
“2016 is going to be another growth year for us,” he added. “We are opening our fourth office and will continue our strong focus on coaching and mentoring, so that our team continues to be in the best possible shape to help our clients achieve their goals.”
Caporn Young was one of the only West Australian real estate agencies represented at the awards, and the team picked up nominations in a number of other categories, including Agency of the Year and Principal of the Year. With the industry was keen to learn more about what this agency does differently, and both Stefanie and Siobhan were invited to present at the Elevate Conference held in Sydney earlier the same day.
Sheridan Currie, who was recognised as one of the industry’s rising stars, agreed that the awards were not simply an individual achievement, but a reflection of the synergy and cohesion of the team as a whole.
Caporn Young chief executive Richard Young said the awards were based not only on strong financial performance, but also client satisfaction, commitment to going the extra mile and team work. “The agents who were recognised at this year’s ARERA Awards are not only top performers, they are great leaders and collaborators, with a very strong team focus,” he explained. Although this high-profile industry recognition is important, Richard added there was only one key performance indicator that truly mattered: Delighted clients! “Looking back at the last year, I’m most proud of the outcomes we achieved for our clients, during a time when property values were generally declining, along with the number of transactions, and rental values,” he said.
“I love coming to work each day,” she said. “Our team is extremely close. We are like a big family and we all have each other’s back. We all know that great teamwork creates great results, and without a supportive culture, we wouldn’t be able to achieve what we’ve been doing.” Siobhan added it was this strong team mentality that allowed her to do more than clients dreamed possible. In the last year, Siobhan surpassed several major milestones, including becoming the top selling agent in her core area of Willagee and securing the suburb’s first-ever $1,000,000 sale. She also sold three neigbouring properties together for $2,130,000 - generating significantly more profit than the three owners could have achieved if they sold individually. “I couldn’t do what I do without my Client Service Manager Rebecca Bermudo, the Applecross admin team for extra support, my Principals and my fellow sales colleagues who are there for advice and support,” she said.
