CONDITIONS ‘NEAR-PERFECT’ IN SOME AREAS Spring is the high season in the real estate calendar, and the next few months are shaping up to be the liveliest we’ve seen for several years. PROFILE A TOAST TO THE BEST OF THE BEST CY’S TOP PERFORMERS CELEBRATED The Fremantle office of Caporn Young Estate Agents was transformed into a Winter Wonderland last weekend, as the company gathered to toast the year’s highest achievers. Team Dobro was the major winner on the night, earning the ‘Sales Team of the Year’ title after transacting more than $50,000,000 in local real estate. This high performing team, consisting of Stefanie Dobro, Michael Harries and customer service manager Zoe Ware, continues to go from strength to strength, and has now grown to include talented buyer’s agent Matt McSweeney. Caporn Young chief executive Richard Young said Team Dobro had a powerful synergy that allowed it to operate at the top of their game. Stefanie was also named as the company’s ‘Auction Lister of the Year’, while Michael Harries won ‘Sales Team Member of the Year’ – a special award given to the agent who goes furthest beyond the call of duty to contribute to the wider CY team and help others reach their full potential. “Michael reminds me of a chap I worked with at Foxtons in London,” Richard said. “They look a little similar, they sound a little similar and they both have the same air of professionalism and competency. That chap went onto to become the CEO of Foxtons! No pressure Michael!” ‘Salesperson of the Year’ went to Siobhan Micale, who also achieved the company’s special ‘Performer Status’. Helen Hemery won the award for ‘Most Improved’, after gaining extraordinary momentum in her home patch of Floreat despite real estate in the suburb being tightly held. Romm Niblett was also honoured on the night for over 10 years of service with the company. The coveted ‘Rising Star Award’ was given to Bicton specialist Lara

Richardson. Noting that many previous recipients of this accolade had quickly skyrocketed to the very top of Australia’s real estate industry, Richard commended Lara for developing a strong reputation as an empathetic and caring agent, while consistently delivering stunning results. He gave a special mention to Lara’s fellow team member Aidan Casey, who has coached and mentored her since she started her real estate career. On the property management and leasing side, Jenevieve Dias and Lachlan Burrows were named Property Manager and Leasing Agent of the Year, while Katy O’Shea was named Rising Star. Sheridan Currie won the Property Management Team Member of the Year, having continued to build a legion of “raving fans” amongst both her property owners and tenants. “You would be surprised how often people go to the trouble of writing in to say that Sheridan is the best property manager there is,” Richard said. Richard added that he had been blown away with the achievements of the entire company, which flew in the face of the challenging market conditions. “The performance across Caporn Young’s three offices this year has been exceptional. While other companies were battening down the hatches, we were able to buck the trend and deliver exceptional results to our clients,” he said. This comes as Caporn Young was announced as an auction leader at the Real Estate Institute of WA Awards, also held last weekend. Caporn Young stamped its authority of sale via Auction in WA, selling the highest value of total properties sold via Auction.
