WINTER IS THE TIME TO GET NOTICED Spring and Summer are undoubtedly the ‘high season’ in real estate. It’s when a huge number of new listings come onto the market, and when the most sales happen. After a first glance at the figures, launching your property to the market in Autumn or Winter might feel counter-intuitive. But looking at the data more closely, this strategic decision can reap some serious rewards. Above all, it comes down to supply and demand. In Winter, there are fewer properties vying for people’s attention, yet plenty of buyers still actively looking to buy. There was one weekend last July when Perth was besieged with some of the heaviest rain and strongest wind we had seen in a long time, yet it was also the weekend we delivered some of our most impressive results.
For many properties, we are now achieving better results via the auction process. We put a lot of work into training and development in this area, and it’s great to see more and more of our sellers opting to utilise this powerful sales method.
