RRP FERTILIZER ASSISTANCE STARTS IN CARAGA REGION The Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga through the Rice Resiliency Project (RRP) under the Rice Program started its fertilizer assistance component in the region. The assistance was provided through reimbursement scheme to the farmers which started on December 7 until the end of the month. The distribution of the notice of claim, which serves as the Caraga INFOCUS
reference number for the farmer-beneficiaries have already started in the province of Surigao del Norte for 184 farmers amounting to P356,715.16. This was followed by a distribution in the province of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur on December 15 for 1,942 farmers amounting to P5,393,055.50 and 5,237 farmers for P14,666,779.00, respectively.
Moreover, the distribution in the province of Surigao del Sur is set to happen in the third week of December. Farmer beneficiaries may personally appear at the government financial institution’s (GFI) authorized payout outlets and present the unique transaction reference number and unexpired valid ID, to claim the refund.
