CTG LEADER IN MINDANAO KILLED IN SURSUR
A high-ranking leader of the communist terrorist group (CTG) was killed after he allegedly retaliated with the local authorities during an operation in Tandag City in Surigao del Sur early morning of Thursday. Authorities identified the CTG leader as Alvin Loque, spokesperson of the National Democratic Front - Mindanao, who died in a shootout with the 401st Brigade and Caraga police who tried to serve several warrants against him at the Hermenias Resort, Barangay San Agustin Sur, in Tandag City around 1:15am.

Loque is the subject of four separate arrest warrants for cases of murder (2 counts), kidnapping, and serious illegal detention under Criminal Case Nos. 13507, 4611, and 4575. Accordingly, Loque and his companion reportedly opened fire on the law enforcers, prompting them to retaliate. He and his unidentified companion were killed as a result. Based on the report, the law enforcers recovered the following at the crime scene: a. One (1) Cal. 45 Remington 1911 pistol chamber loaded
with a magazine and live ammunition b. One (1) Fragmentation hand grenade c. One (1) 40mm HE d. Five Hundred (500) rounds 7.62 ammo for AK47 e. One (1) blasting cap f. One (1) battery g. One IED firing mechanism and more or less 15-meter electric wire h. NPA flags and i. Subversive documents. Loque a.k.a.
