The discovery of the cadaver was made possible through the report of a concerned citizen, stating that they found a dead body in KM 6, Purok 26, Lawaan, Brgy Tungao, Butuan City. of the citizen together with the Butuan City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC) personnel of Station 5, Tungao, Butuan City. The cadaver was confirmed as a member and a remnant of the weakened Guerrilla Front (GF) 4A, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee (NCMRC) led by Junjun Makaundag @ KITKIT, the former Squad Leader of SDG CAOCAO. The dead NPA was among the NPA remnants who clashed with the 23IB troopers in the area last December 30, 2020. The cadaver was identified as
Victoriano S Tanghinan, alias “Bebot,” 46 years old and a resident of Purok 10, Barangay Tungao, Butuan City. During the retrieval of the cadaver, the 23IB troopers also recovered one 3516 Pistol (Improvised); five live ammunition of 3516 Pistol; two cellular phones; one charger; and one bag.
