DA conducts value-adding opportunity for Surigao Women’s group
The Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga conducted a value adding opportunity for Women’s association thru the conduct of Meat Processing from October 26-29, 2021 held at the Surigao City Processing Laboratory.
the said undertaking spearheaded by the DA thru its Livestock Program in partnership with the Surigao City Veterinary Office.
The activity aims to introduce valueadding activity and additional livelihood to A total of 30 women from the members of the said Barangay Punta Bilar association. Women’s Association in Surigao City participated The two batches of Caraga INFOCUS
trainees are expected to produce and package different recipes such as embutido, longganisa, and tocino. Aside from the product creation, proper hygiene and meat quality are also discussed facilitated by Dr. Maridel Zerda of Surigao City Veterinary Office.
