Even with the cancellation of the annual fiesta celebrations in Surigao City due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, the locals are keeping busy in promoting and patronizing the locallymade products. Assorted food and non-food items were showcased during the launch of the “Karajawan Nan Surigao” Trade Expo 2020 spearheaded by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Surigao del Norte Provincial Office together with the Surigao Chamber of Commerce and Industry Incorporated.

This is the first online trade expo conducted in Caraga region. DTI-Surigao del Norte initiated and opted for digital trade expo as a strategy to help address the economic turmoil associated with the coronavirus pandemic.
