Hot weather greeted music lovers as they flocked to Horsefly this past weekend for the seventh annual Arts on the Fly music festival. The festival got started on Friday night and saw a number of performers entertain until midnight, and then even through the scorching heat Saturday, festivals goers and performers did not complain as the music continued on till midnight. Young Williams Lake musicians Rowan Dolighan and Sam Tudor entertained the crowd on Saturday afternoon, following lakecity pop/ punk band Calling April who despite the heat had people up dancing. A festival favorite and Horsefly locals, Jason and Pharis Romero played to a full house in the new acoustic stage, which was in the fire hall. The room was hot, stuffy and crowded but no one complained as the duo entertained with their beautiful harmonies and spectacular banjo playing. Overall with all the vendors, performers, and workshops it was another successful festival and everyone is looking forward to next year.
