No arrests in armed robbery RCMP are remaining tightlipped about the details of an armed robbery at the Subway restaurant downtown last week. “It’s still an active investigation,” said Insp. Warren Brown of the Williams Lake RCMP. At about 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 15 police responded to a call of an armed robbery at the business, located at 336 Mart Street. In a press release issued at the time, police said a 22-yearold woman known to police for this type of crime was arrested, however Brown confirmed yesterday no one has been charged in the crime to date. Brown said details surrounding the robbery and investigation are sensitive and cannot be released to the public at this time.

Butler and his officers were out meeting the public, getting tips on possible infractions and, of course, checking for compliance of the Wildlife Act among campers. Butler promises the public will be seeing a lot of his officers out and about in the months to come.
