New Williams Lake school gets a new name
After a shortlist of names were put forth for students to consider, the SD 27 Board of Education decided Lake City Secondary will be the new name of the new middle/secondary school in Williams Lake.
The Board made the decision on the name for the new one school, two campus model at a special open meeting last night. At the meeting, trustees received survey results from students who had been asked for their opinion of
the shortlisted names which included Cariboo Crossroads Secondary, Cariboo Central Secondary and Lake City Secondary. After an in depth discussion regarding the names, trustees passed the motion declaring the school’s
