Be sure to honour your veterans this Friday, November 11 The local Branch 139 of the Royal Canadian Legion encourages the community to attend the Remembrance Day service being held Friday morning in the Gibraltar room.

The doors to the Gibraltar room open at 9:00, with the Colour Party and Veterans assembling at 10:00 a.m. The service is to start at 10:25, and will be followed with the parade

to the Cenotaph at City Hall. Corporal Jeffery Skea will be reading the Roll of Honour for World War I while Richard Taylor will be reading the Roll of Honour for World War

II. This year’s Silver Cross Mother is Debbie Freeman, who will be escorted by her son, Trooper Matt Freeman. At 11:00 a.m. there will be a two-minute way of

silence at the Cenotaph followed by the laying of the wreaths. After the service, everyone is invited back to the Legion for lunch, fellowship, and memories.
