Mayoral candidates Walt Cobb, Scott Nelson and Kerry Cook make a difference at Walmart over the weekend serving hot dogs to raise money for the local food bank. This coming weekend city residents will decide which of the three candidates will serve the next term as mayor so we encourage everyone to get out and vote, vote, vote!
Voting gets underway for the 2011 Municipal Election Anyone wishing to cast their ballets in the municipal election can do so today. There will be advanced polling opportunities at the
City Hall foyer Nov. 16 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. General voting day for city residents will be this Saturday, Nov. 19 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Marie
Sharpe Elementary School gymnasium. Residents will be casting their votes for mayor and six councillors as well as the Zone 6 School Board
trustee position. Voters will also be asked whether they want the city to continue to add fluoride to the city’s drinking water.
Eligible voters must be 18 years of age and older and bring identification with them, indicating their home address and signature.
