Williams Lake Senior Secondary, a beautiful and modern facility seen here yesterday, may be one of the most controversial topics of the School District 27 election this November. The current school board, which will see new faces following the election November 19, could not decide in their last term how or if Williams Lake high schools should be reconfigured, however empty seats and tight budgets are sure to press the issue this school year. Currently Williams Lake runs two separate high schools, Grades 8 - 12, and some teachers have voiced their opposition to having a middle school. Yesterday (October 4) was the first day the district office could receive nomination packages for the upcoming trustee election.
