Customer Reference Group We are seeking expressions of interest from 3 to 6 people interested in forming a Customer Reference Group (CRG) Now that Covid restrictions are easing, we are looking to re-establish the CRG which was previously very successful. We are looking for people with lived disability experience and can include clients and family members. The Carinbundi Disability Reference Group (the Reference Group), will become an advisory group to the CEO and Board of Carinbundi.
COVID-19 Advice We have had a Covid-19 alert at Carinbundi today. In light of this, we wanted to take the time to reiterate that it is critical that if you, or somebody in your family has tested positive for Covid-19 you must stay home. Rules and regulations around isolation have changed in recent weeks but within the disability and aged-care sectors people who are close contacts still must quarantine. The disability sector remains a high-risk setting. Close contacts need to remain quarantined for seven (7) days and have a negative test before returning to our highrisk setting. All staff and clients who have been in contact have been tested. If you have any queries, please contact our office on 4158 9600.
Why do we need a Customer Reference Group? Easy! To advise on service delivery and improvements. The group will also be encouraged to present ideas for programs and other service delivery matters. Our HR Manager, Lee-Anne Thompson, will provide full secretarial support for this group. It is anticipated the group will meet during the day every two months for approximately 1 hour. (Transport can be arranged if required to attend meetings). Expressions of interest should be forwarded to Lee-Anne Thompson as well as your program manager. hrmanager@carinbundi.com.au

Person-Centred Emergency & Disaster Plan As part of the ongoing development of the NDIS, their, and our commitment to the safety and welfare of all customers, a new quality standard has been introduced. It is called Person-Centred Emergency & Disaster Plan. As always, Carinbundi's first commitment is for everyone's safety and welfare and ensuring processes are in place to ensure continuity of service should unexpected events occur. As part of our commitment to you, we will be working with you to develop customers' individual Emergency & Disaster Plan. What happens next? Your program manager will contact you to arrange a suitable time to work together to develop your individual plan. Whilst we hope these plans will never be needed, I am sure you would agree, it is important to be prepared and have all the necessary information should we need it. The Queensland Government has a great resource regarding disaster preparedness. Here is a link to the website as well as some short videos. The best way to prepare for an emergency is to make a plan with your household and support networks. Think about all of your roles and responsibilities by considering what you do, where you do it and who you do it with, because emergencies can happen anywhere and at any time. Communicate with your support network about how you will plan and act together in an emergency. Consider how you will manage during loss of essential services like water and power. Consider how you will manage during loss of supports (such as community-based disability support services, home nursing, and personal care) that you rely on every day.
Expressions of Interest - Board Members The opportunity exists to appoint three voluntary Board Members to the Board of Burnett Respite Services Ltd (T/A Carinbundi) as well as the Carinbundi Foundation Board. We are seeking Directors to help steer the organisation into the future. Applications are encouraged from people with a range of skills - marketing, fundraising, finance, governance, risk management or leadership background. Applications are also strongly encouraged from individuals with lived experience of disability. For more information, we encourage you to contact Clive Pearce, CEO.
