The Duke Johann Ernest III brought him to his court in Weimar. Bach was not happy because his work did not involve music. He had to do domestic work even though he could play the organ.
He spent a few months studying the organ with the great organist Dietrich Buxtehude.
UE ST
At the age of 18, he went to Arnstadt to work as an organ repairman.
RA

Would you like to know what Bach did in my court?
RA
JohAnn SeBASTiAn BACh
While he was working for me, he wrote a letter to the margrave of Brandenburg asking to work as his court musician. He wrote the famous Brandenburg Concertos for the Margrave! What nerve he had!
14
UE ST
He was hired to work at the court of Prince Leopold of Kรถthen where he wrote music for parties at the palace.
M
His wife Maria Barbara died and Bach got remarried to the singer Anna Magdalena and together they had 13 children.
Anna Magdalena helped Bach a lot and wrote a book about their life together.
He lived in the city of Leipzig for the last 27 years of his life. He worked as the Cantor and Director of Music at St. Thomas Church.
He was completely blind when he died on the 27th of July in 1750. Some of his children were also great musicians.
