Carlotta Pinna
Architect, lives between Italy and Brazil. After graduating from Politecnico di Milano, she obtained a master's degree in architecture at the Technische Universiteit Delft (Netherlands), with a thesis on "The role of architecture and urban planning for the redevelopment of ex functionalist areas of water's cities" and a postgraduate master in " Advanced method and tool for sustainable planning" at the Harbin Institute of Technology (China). She worked in several offices between Italy, Netherlands and Portugal, developing both large-scale and interior and corporate projects. She worked for IN / ARCH Istituto Nazionale di Architettura, working on the Urban Regeneration Process of Participatory Planning and Integrated Design Process projects. In 2014, she founded Studio Habitat SCV with the aim of creating a network of designers with experience in the field of architecture, product design and land and landscape planning. From 2016 to 2019, she worked as a consultant technician for the Department of Urban Planning at the Office of the Mayor of the Municipality of Cagliari (Italy). She was ambassador of Italian design in Brazil for the Italian Design Day 2020 “Drawing the future: development, innovation, sustainability, beauty" promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, the Triennale di Milano, the ICE / ITA Agency, the Salone del Mobile di Milano, the Association of Industrial Design and the Compasso d'Oro Foundation. She took a part as a visiting professor to the series of conferences organized by the Italian Consulate in Belo Horizonte in collaboration with IED - European Institute of Design and FIAT Casa da Cultura with the contributions: “Smart Cities for whom? Another Renaissance for the cities of the future" of the series of conferences on the theme "smart cities, smart citizens" ; "Power and History: the challenges of the contemporary square".
