Connections Matter @ CDS

ACULTUREOF & PHILANTHROPY VOLUNTEERISM

With so many opportunities to engage with CDS, our goal is to make it easy for you and your family to connect with us. Whether you are volunteering at the Fall Festival, serving on the Gala committee, or donating to celebrate our Day of Giving, we ask for your support in maintaining the CDS legacy of volunteerism and philanthropy.

As you enter our two campuses you'll notice the many wonderful facilities that enhance the education of your child each day. Much of this is due to the generosity of those that came before you. As each new family contributes toward the future, others are inspired to follow their example.

Gifts of time, talent, and treasure are essential in providing our students with the quality educational experience they receive and are vital to our culture of volunteerism and philanthropy. No matter how you choose to support CDS, we thank you.

VOLUNTEER? WHY

“VOLUNTEERS ARE THE ONLY HUMAN BEINGS ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH WHO REFLECT THIS NATION’S COMPASSION, UNSELFISH CARING, PATIENCE, AND JUST PLAIN LOVING ONE ANOTHER.”
ERMA BOMBECK

Volunteers are critical to the success of Carrollwood Day School and its students. Since our founding in 1982, our school has been able to thrive and excel due to the generosity of time from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of CDS.

Volunteers play a huge role in everything we do at CDS. We welcome your active participation to make our community prosper.

THE PATRIOT BOOSTER CLUB

The Booster Club is an organization of parents, alumni, and friends who build and support the quality athletic and physical education programs of CDS. They assist in raising funds to enhance all athletics, including sponsored events, as well as Middle School, JV, and Varsity sports teams.

This year, during Homecoming Weekend, the Booster Club will host the annual fall Booster Club Tailgate and Patriot Run to gather the community together and welcome alumni and their families back to campus.

WHAT IS ANNUAL GIVING?

The Annual Giving Program, our most important giving priority, provides unrestricted funding for the operating budget supporting the academic and extracurricular programming needs of our students, faculty, and staff. Whether that is the new technology in the classrooms or sending our faculty to the latest conference for professional development, annual giving donations immediately help build a stronger CDS community.

THE PRACTICAL EQUIVALENT?

A checking account that allows the school to accomplish its daily operations.

WHO CAN SUPPORT ANNUAL GIVING?

Everyone! Our constituents of support range from current parents to grandparents to alumni and their families to corporate donors and so many others who generously support CDS on an annual basis.

WHY IS ANNUAL GIVING NEEDED EVERY YEAR?

Operating costs rise each year, therefore annual giving funds help balance the budget and keep tuition stable.

HELP US REACH

The Annual Giving Committee, consisting of parent volunteers from each grade level, will be reaching out to you with more information!

PATRIOT GALA.

The Patriot Gala is a Carrollwood Day School signature fundraising event where parents and supporters come together to move the mission of CDS forward through philanthropy. This event includes a live and silent auction along with a night filled with libations, dancing, and fun.

For decades, this has been successful thanks to the support of parents and businesses through sponsorship donations and volunteers. There are many ways to participate, which include volunteering on the Patriot Gala committee, donating auction items, serving as a sponsor, or making a donation to Give From the Heart. This event is scheduled for:
