THE TRADITION OF SUPPORT For our students to be successful, Carrollwood Day School (CDS) and its parents must work together. Since the time of its founding in 1981, CDS has been able to thrive and excel due to the generosity of supporters who have embraced the School’s mission of ensuring that our students are truly ready for the opportunities of tomorrow. Like all independent schools, CDS relies on a combination of tuition revenue and the private support of parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty/staff, foundations, and grants to meet annual operating expenses, as well as long-term strategic needs. These gifts support the people and programs that make our school so special - the incredible faculty, innovative curriculum, and character development. Giving doesn’t just come in the form of financial assistance, it can be: - Helping out at athletic events - Being a class parent - Participating at International Festival - Joining a gala committee - And many more opportunities

GET INVOLVED

PTO | Parent Teacher Organization The PTO functions in three different aspects: events and services related to parent/family support, activities related to teacher/classroom support, and programs and events supporting the school overall. Parent volunteers are critical to the mission at CDS. There are many ways for parents to give their time and talents to the school. Extensive and supportive participation by parents at all levels of school life has resulted in a strong CDS community. Opportunities for parental involvement at CDS cover a wide range and vary considerably as to the degree of skill and time required. Some parents focus their energies on events specific to their child’s class, while others enjoy helping out at one of our many school-wide events. We strive to create opportunities for all parents, including those with limited time, to volunteer.

CULTURE OF PHILANTHROPY

Carrollwood Day School’s expansion has been driven by generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure from you, our supporters, friends, and team members. Together we are creating a culture of philanthropy. CDS is where educators, community members, and families are investing in future generations. We consider it an honor to participate in this united effort with all of you. The years of past donations have provided the benefits our students receive today. Your gifts will make even greater opportunities possible for the children of tomorrow. That is what we mean by a culture of philanthropy.

THE MOST IMPORTANT INVESTMENT WE CAN MAKE IS IN OUR CHILDREN We all have within us the desire to help. This purpose pulls us together as a group and a community. As each new family contributes towards the future, others are inspired to follow their example. How you choose to help is up to you. No matter how you choose to contribute, CDS thanks you, our students thank you, and the hundreds of children we’ll be educating long into the future will also thank you.
