The Morgan EV3 Junior
IT’S JUNIOR TIME!
IT’S JUNIOR TIME!
In
2016 Morgan announced their first production electric vehicle. Capable of 100mph and 0-60 in 8 seconds, and still entirely coach-built, the EV3 has received great acclaim from motoring press and enthusiasts alike following its launch, one year ago, at the Geneva Motor Show. Morgan continues to celebrate this new chapter in their manufacturing history by announcing the arrival of the EV3 Junior targeting aspiring young Morgan owners! The EV3 Junior is entirely handmade and features a carbon fibre body, wooden dashboard and hand stitched leather interior. The EV3 Junior is capable of travelling at 16kph forward and in reverse at a limited speed. A choice of Sport Red, Sport Green or Sport Ivory paint, with black or tan leather, is offered as standard. Any paint colour from Morgan’s range of 40,000 can also be selected at a small cost. Further personalisation is offered with fun sticker packs which can be re-applied as desired.
IT’S JUNIOR TIME!
Other features include working lights and authentic enamel badge detailing. Charging is carried out by the charger provided and takes 4 hours. An average range of 10 miles can be achieved depending on driving style. Morgan cars are known for being lightweight and small, however the EV3 Junior is smaller than most and therefore is only suitable for children over the age of 6. The EV3 Junior is fully CE certified. Each EV3 Junior is supplied with a handbook and a 12-month warranty. Priced from ÂŁ6,662.50 +VAT, the EV3 Junior is an official Morgan product and can be purchased from the Morgan online shop, from Morgan official dealerships and from the factory shop in Malvern Link, UK.
Weighing less than 500kg the normal “senior version of EV3 has a range of 150 miles. This all-electric 3 Wheeler’s lightweight agility is complemented by performance figures that challenge those of the petrol 3 Wheeler. 0-62mph takes less than 9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 90mph. Encased within the tubular space frame chassis is a 20KWh Lithium Battery and a liquid cooled 46kW motor driving the rear wheel. The EV3 is the first Morgan vehicle to utilise composite carbon panels in its body construction. The carbon bonnet, tonneau cover and side pods are made in the UK, and much like the remaining aluminium panels, are hand worked over an ash wood frame

THE GRAND VISION

After one of the most exciting editions of the Rolex 24 at Daytona in recent years, the 2017 endurance racing season is officially underway! Now is the European’s turn, as the WEC prologue in Monza (1-2 April) is coming fast by Niccolò Gargiulo
THE ‘GRAND VISION’

2017 A close battle between Toyota and Porsche, the only two manufacturer at the start of the LMP1 class of the 2017 World Endurance Championship
is the year of great accomplishments for IMSA and its Weathertech Sportscar Championship, while on the other side of the ocean Audi has abandoned the World Endurance Championship with the consequence that only Porsche and Toyota remain to battle in the WEC top category. All of this mixed with the long standing issues of endurance racing such as regulations, safety and dispersion of resources between many different championships. WE WERE RECENTLY ABLE TO ASK SOME QUESTIONS TO THE TOP IMSA OFFICIALS AND TO DISCUSS THE SUCCESS OF THEIR AMERICAN ‘GRAND VISION’. “I think it’s an exciting time for sportscar racing.” Says Ed bennet, IMSA ceo “I want to thank our friends from the ACO and World Endurance Championship. You have to go back to 2012 to the idea of the merger between the American Le Mans Series and the GrandAm, it was a ‘Grand Vision’ and it takes a while to realize it. It will always be a work in progress as it continues to progress nicely. We are more globally aligned than ever before with our partners at the ACO and FIA, and with the manufacturers with the global technical specifications of cars. It’s just a really exciting time for the sport worldwide. We are proud to see so many international drivers and it’s great to see the sport experience in so many different regions. The sport has become more global than ever, it’s more accessible
THE ‘GRAND VISION’
because manufacturers can build a car, wether it’s a prototype or a GT, it’s no longer the situation where you needed an homologation for a specific championship. The fact that these cars in most cases have utility outside of one championship ... the best example is the Ford GT. It’s great to see that it went to Le Mans to compete there, and now it’s competing in the Rolex 24. It’s a global sport with great relationhips (between IMSA and ACO / FIA) and great passion and high manufacturer relevance and it’s a really exciting time.” WILL THERE BE A MERGER BETWEEN WEC AND IMSA? “The partnership with the ACO and the WEC is a fantastic one and one we are very proud of. We are always open to opportunities. We welcome them in North America to the extent that make sense for both of us to have companion events. We enjoy that and we are open to that. Sometimes it’s challenging because it’s endurance racing and it’s hard to have both platforms on a weekend, but we’ve done that at COTA, we are proud of that and on our side we are very open to that in the future to the extent it makes sense to their championship and our partnership.” ARE SLOWER GT CARS AND GENTLEMEN DRIVERS DANGEROUS ON TRACK? WILL THIS PROBLEM EVER BE RESOLVED? “Sportscar racing has always been a mix of Pro and Sportsmen drivers. I think that
A pit stop always a topic moment of the Endurance races (here a Porsche in Le Mans last year)

Sportsmen drivers have always been the backbone of the sport, it’s something we embrace. Safety is always the top issue, so to the extent that we can manage it with things like not having to many vehicles on a circuit. There were times when I think there were 80 cars in the Rolex 24. We think that because of today’s performances those days are behind, we are very comfortable with the car counts that are there today. One way to manage it is to have very safe cars, as safe as possible and I think that these global specs homologated cars are very safe for the drivers, so that’s pleasing for us as an organizer.” IN CONCLUSION … “From an organizer stand point you have to know what your genre is. We know that in sportscar racing you have to make a decision, are you going to be both a prototype and GT platform? Then, if you know we are going to race in North America you have to have a feel of what the calendar opportunities are that we identified through the merger, we are very proud of the consistency and quality of the calendar and the market. Then you get to the technical specifications of the cars. I believe we positioned the most global technical specifications to the best of our ability, wether it’s prototype between LMP2 and DPi, GTLM based on the GTE specification with our friends from the ACO, the GTE3 specification for the GTD class ... Once you
set the specifications, the market does the job and it shows you were there is interest, where cost vs value then specification is balanced properly. We are at this exciting time and the market will vote how well we did, and if we think there is opportunity to improve that then we can tweak it based on how the market reacts.” IMSA PRESIDENT SCOTT ATHERTON IS MORE THAN OPTIMISTIC ABOUT PRESENT AND FUTURE OF ENDURANCE RACES: “I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again: this is what we’ve been waiting for! If we go back to that merger (between the American Le Mans Series and the Grand Am) it was a period of great compromise in every category of our business. We always had a vision, and we have arrived! It’s still the early days of that arrival but this is the biproduct of a tremendous amount of work by an army of people. The measure of the involvement in this sport is so widespread, it covers all facets. The competition side of our business: while no one will ever be fully satisfied, the BOP has become a reality that we all operate within. I will sum things up on what has brought us to this point: I think it’s a combination of relevance and value. This platform has tremendous significant value and the relevance in unmatched. We as an organization wouldn’t trade our position with anyone. We are very proud of where we are today and the good news is that we are just getting started.

THE ‘GRAND VISION’
Ed Bennett
If you like what you see today, stay tuned because it’s just going to get better.” IMSA IS MORE AND MORE INTERNATIONAL… “Having the number of international teams at the Rolex 24 is fulfillment of the vision and the goal that Jim France and Pierre Fillon established when we formalized the relationship. We are as intertwined and supportive of each other as ever before. Part of that of course is having American content in the World Endurance Championship competing at Le Mans and vice versa. Jim France is committed and has been outspoken in his desire to have this race be the same type of international global draw that le Mans represents. Drivers and teams all want to win the watch and the attractiveness of the Weathertech Championship to the teams that are not domestically based speaks for itself. You have an opportunity to win at Daytona, to win at Sebring and Petit Le Mans and the other venues ... it’s a good fit. Teams and drivers love to race here, they love the environment, they like the vibe in the paddock and we hope that only continues. International rules and regulations and consistency among platforms is important to auto manufacturers. It matters to them. The costs involved in developing a modern day racecars at this level are very significant. The ability to advertise and realize the return on investment across the globe is not an option anymore. Is a must have.
THE ‘GRAND VISION’
Scott Atherton
We’ve seen the immediate fact of our decision to evolve our GTD category to that of the homologated GT3 car spec. We saw the influx of manufacturers and teams that resulted from that. You’ve seen an almost identical result in our Continental Tire Challenge, where the GS class has adopted the GT4 specification, immediate influx of new manufacturers and teams ecc. I believed we have accomplished a similar result in our prototype platform. The collaboration was there from day 1. If you look at the very first at the very first meetings with the FIA and ACO, the first criteria was a global formula that would evolve a very strict set of regulations that would enable a limited number of constructors, so as to not have an open book, to avoid having more constructors that can produce car sales ... and therefore make for a sustainable business model. Some people have complained that with only four constructors ... why not open it up. The reason for four constructors is that if you look at the global marketplace for prototypes fo this kind the cost associated with competing, the belief is that four constructors can all share the market and can all be sustainable and have viable business models connected to it. The reality of the mix of LMP2 and DPi ... we are all witnessing history unfold. The first global competition of the new era begins tomorrow. Is too early to draw any conclusion other than the fact that those constructors and the related manufacturers associated with DPi have done a fantastic job under incredibly tight timelines to bring these cars to the market, to have them tested, to have them all competitive in what will be a tremendous global stage.”

The new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet
Strictly
LIMITED
With the G 650 Landaulet, MercedesMaybach presents a new masterpiece of automotive engineering. After the Mercedes-Maybach SClass and the S 650 Cabriolet, the open-top GClass is the first off-roader from the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brand. With its superlative V12 engine, portal axles, electric fabric top and exclusive equipment specification in the rear compartment, this very special all-terrain vehicle, which is limited to 99 units, meets the expectations of customers who demand the very highest standards of their vehicle
S T R I C T LY L I M I T E D
The
history of the G-Class is rich in superlatives and landmarks. With the new Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, the off-road icon demonstrates that the definition of unique luxury can always be taken to a new level. Not only that: the cult vehicle among off-roaders is forever reinventing itself and providing yet more evidence of the potential that still resides in this classic all-terrain vehicle today, which has been in production since 1979. With a length of 5345 millimetres, a wheelbase of 3428 millimetres, a height of 2235 millimetres, almost half a metre of ground clearance and ample space and comfort for four passengers, the G 650 Landaulet surpasses all standards. This extrovert GClass thus represents a unique combination of luxurious chauffeur saloon and off-roader. While the driver and front passenger are accommodated under the closed roof, the rear passengers can revel in a maximum of comfort: at the press of a button, a large folding top opens electrically to offer a view of the blue sky. The rear passengers enjoy the majestic open-air experience from their single seats. On demand, an electrically operated glass partition separates the rear compartment from the driver’s section. In addition, the glass can be changed from transparent to opaque at the press of a button.

Landaulet vehicles have a long tradition at the Stuttgartbased car maker. This special class of vehicle included the Benz 25/45 PS of 1910. Other famous examples of this exclusive genre are the Mercedes-Benz 300 d Landaulet (from 1960), the MercedesBenz 600 Pullman Landaulet (from 1964) and the Maybach Landaulet (from 2008)
FIRST-CLASS REAR SEATS WITH CALF REST AND FULLY RECLINED POSITION Thanks to the 578 millimetre longer wheelbase, the passengers in the MercedesMaybach G 650 Landaulet benefit from extensive freedom of movement. The first-class rear seats from the SClass significantly enhance the seating comfort and spaciousness: the electrically multi-adjustable individual seats can be conveniently set to a fully reclined position. The active multicontour seats with ENERGIZING massage function have inflatable air chambers to provide high seating comfort and excellent lateral support. Massage programs make for enhanced well-being – according to the principle of a relaxing hot-stone massage, including with heat. The rear seating concept is augmented by a calf rest, which is freely adjustable in length and swivel range. To afford the rear passengers the optimum in comfort, there is a large business console with thermal cup holders between the individual seats. These allow beverages to be cooled or heated over a lengthy period of time. The controls for opening or closing the glass partition are integrated behind the cup holders. Similarly to an aircraft seat, the centre console comes with two tables, which can be easily folded in or out with one hand. The table tops have leather inserts to provide a comfortable writing surface or to allow the use of tablets and notebooks.

Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing teamed up again this year to continue to set new benchmarks and push the limits of performance by presenting the Cigarette Racing Team 50’ Marauder AMG boat inspired by the breathtaking Mercedes-AMG GT R. The two legendary performance brands are proud to celebrate 10 years of collaboration with this aweinspiring new boat recently unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show. From the intelligent lightweight construction to the wealth of innovations, the Mercedes-AMG GT R and the 2017 50’ Marauder AMG are true pioneers in their respective segments, perfectly exemplifying the Mercedes-AMG core philosophy to deliver high-performance
INDIVIDUAL ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM WITH TWO MONITORS IN THE REAR Positioned in front of the cup holders is a control for the rear air conditioning. Further forward is a “G cockpit” in the style of the driver’s instrument panel. The centre console houses the three distinctive, centrally placed pushbutton switches. These switches are not used to operate the three differential locks, however: one switch is for the interior lighting, while the other two are used to open and close the soft top. The rear “G cockpit” also includes two glove compartments as well as grab handles typical of the GClass. The crossmember, which also holds the glass partition, accommodates two 25.4 cm (10inch) highresolution media displays of the Individual Entertainment System.

TWO-TONE DESIGNO UPHOLSTERY IN FOUR TRIM COLOURS The luxurious, exquisite character of the Landaulet is emphasised by the high-grade designo upholstery with diamond stitching, which is in all cases two-tone and available in four trim colours. Customers can choose between three different matching colours for the fabric top as well as four attractive designo paint finishes, including a matt finish. “V12 BITURBO” lettering on the front wings points to the ultimate in motive power, the 12cylinder engine. The radiator grille features a chrome-plated double louvre and a chrome-plated screen. Exclusive “LANDAULET” lettering is worked into the rim flanges of the ceramically polished, 55.9 cm (22inch) 5twin-spoke light-alloy wheels. Electrically extending entry aids make for easier access to the vehicle. Other exclusive exterior design features include front and rear underride guards, large wheel-arch flares in genuine carbon fibre as well as, mounted on the right at the rear, the spare wheel with integral holder for the third brake light. PORTAL AXLES AND 325/55 R 22 TYRES As is customary with the off-road icon, the “G” is forever breaking new ground: unlike previous Landaulets, which were based on prestigious saloons, the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet also has what it takes to deliver an unforgettable off-road experience.

“The name Maybach dates back to the beginnings of the automobile. It stands for supreme luxury with tradition, combined with high-tech. In 2015, we took the logical step of opening a new chapter in the luxury class with our MercedesMaybach subbrand. Since then, over 15,000 Mercedes-Maybachs have been produced. Hence, one in every ten vehicles sold in the SClass segment was a Mercedes-Maybach. With the Mercedes-Maybach GClass Landaulet, we are now extending the MercedesMaybach portfolio to include the world’s most iconic and prestigious off-roader.” says Dr Jens Thiemer, Head of Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars
Familiar from the AMG G 63 6x6 and G 500 4x42, the portal axles provide ample ground clearance of 450 millimetres, allowing the open-top all-terrain vehicle to overcome even extreme obstacles in masterly fashion. In contrast to a conventional rigid axle, the wheels are not at the height of the axle centre, but are instead situated much further down on the axle heads owing to the portal transmission. Tyres of size 325/55 R 22 form the ideal basis for perfect handling both on- and off-road. Of course, the latest “G” also features the typical 100percent differential locks, which can be engaged while on the move, as well as the low off-road ratio of the transfer case. High drive comfort comes courtesy of the most powerful available engine, the Mercedes-AMG V12 biturbo, which delivers a maximum output of 463 kW (630 hp) with a peak torque of 1000 Newton-metres. LIMITED TO 99 UNITS, MARKET PREMIERE IN AUTUMN 2017 Like all other variants of the G-Class, the Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet, too, will be produced by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria. The open-top four-seater will celebrate its world premiere and sales release at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017. The market launch of the special series, which will be limited to 99 units, will start in the autumn.

Smell of Bond
This unique one-off Evora Sport 410, created by Lotus Exclusive, is a tribute to one of Lotus’ most famous liveries. Launched in October 2016, the Evora Sport 410 has wowed customers with its combination of effortless pace and intuitive handling. Representing
the state of the supercar art, a one-off Evora Sport 410 has been commissioned through Lotus Exclusive as a tribute to one of its most famous ancestors, the Lotus Esprit S1. The benchmark was set by the original Lotus Esprit S1 as seen in the Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, and Lotus’ in-house personalisation department has crafted a special, one-off Evora Sport 410 in commemoration. Combining the latest in Lotus engineering with period details, the new pure-bred supercar takes design cues from the iconic Esprit and integrates them into a car with class-leading performance. Packing 410 hp into a car that weighs just 1,280 kg, it sprints from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 secs. The work of the in-house personalisation department, Lotus Exclusive, this one-off Evora Sport 410 features many unique design touches. A special, colour-coded bumper modifies the car’s front end, while the one-piece carbonfibre tailgate is part keyed white to give the illusion of a traditional liftback. In addition to a black coach line, delineating the car’s waist, it sports a bespoke badge script

on the B pillar - in the style of the original Esprit’s graphics. Nods to the Lotus Esprit S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me continue inside, with the insert panels of the carbon-fibre sports seats and door cards trimmed in the popular heritage Tartan, while red contrast stitching complements the Alcantara® dashboard and console finish. Beneath the personalisation, this unique car retains all the engineering elements that make the Evora Sport 410 so formidable. From the supercharged, 3.5-litre 6-cylinder engine, producing 410 hp at 7000 rpm and 420 Nm of torque at 3500 rpm, to the highly advanced aerodynamics, which deliver up to 64 kg of downforce, it’s designed to deliver both on road and track. The Evora Sport 410 remains refined on Broads, but blisteringly fast when needed. The use of hand-made carbon-fibre components has been key in keeping mass to a minimum, with each specifically designed to enhance the car’s performance. Covering the car from nose to tail, they include front splitter, revised front access panel, roof section, tailgate, rear quarter panels, as well as the rear diffuser. These lightweight carbon components not only reduce the kerb weight of the Evora

Sport 410 but also help lower the centre of gravity, allowing for the recalibration of the suspension, which, along with re-valved dampers and a reduced ride height, provide better body and roll control - but not at the expense of comfort and composure. This one-off Evora underlines the work of the increasingly popular Lotus Exclusive service. Combining traditional British craftsmanship with modern design, it inspires buyers to spend time tailoring the character of their Lotus with a comprehensive array of options. Jean-Marc Gales, CEO, Group Lotus plc continued, “Our customers have really embraced the Lotus Exclusive service, with 25% of new cars undergoing some form of personalisation. It is well established that Lotus cars come with benchmark performance as standard. Now, thanks to the skilled team at Hethel, responsible for hand building all Lotus cars since 1966, you can specify a Lotus that perfectly reflects your personal tastes. The Lotus Evora Sport 410 is limited to a global production run of one-hundred and fifty vehicles per year, and is on sale in Europe and rest of world markets now. A Federal version of the Evora Sport 410 for the North American market will arrive this spring.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO, Group Lotus plc said: “So many of us recall the impact of the Lotus Esprit when it hit the big screen in The Spy Who Loved Me, and we wanted to honour that with a special Evora Sport 410. It’s the perfect tribute to such an influential Lotus, but a world away in terms of its abilities and performance. Supremely fast and agile, rivals’ cars look overweight and underpowered in comparison. Lotus was founded on the principle of lightweight engineering and, even today, nobody does it better.”

The
Sacramento Autorama, one of the world’s longest running indoor car shows, recently celebrated its 67th year. The most prestigious of 2017 awards were the “Custom d’Elegance” which was awarded to the “Mulholland Speedster” built by Hollywood Hot Rods and the “King of Kustoms” award, which went to John D’Agostino. The 67th Annual Sacramento Autorama did not disappoint fans, living up to its reputation as the “Kustom Capital of the World” with over 650 of the finest custom vehicles on display for the 35,000 people in attendance. The cars in attendance were the best in their categories which included everything from radical customs to motorcycles, trucks, hot rods, muscle cars and street machines.
The most coveted award of the Sacramento Autorama was the “Custom d’Elegance” which was given to the best chopped, channeled and sectioned vehicle from 1935-1948 that embodied the true spirit of a classic custom. This year, Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hotrods beat out the other five contenders earning his spot alongside iconic customizers like Gene Winfield, Joe Bailon, George Barris and John D’Agostino on the historic perpetual plaque as well as $2,000 in prize money. Troy Ladd’s car, a 1936 Packard called the “Mulholland Speedster” (owned by Bruce Wanta) not only stunned the crowds all weekend and got a lot of attention but is now also the only vehicle in history to win both the “America’s Most Beautiful Roadster” and “Custom d’Elegance” titles. The other highly sought-after award at

the show was the “King of Kustoms,” which recognized the best 1935-1964 custom build with particular focus on bodylines, design, flow, and quality of workmanship. Along with those features the judges also considered the use of color, design of the paint, as well as the look of the interior with the outward appearance maintaining the true spirit of a classic custom. This year’s winner was John D’Agostino with his 1958 Packard named “Rita.” “The best thing about the Sacramento Autorama is that it gives custom builders a place to show off their vision of how they feel these classics should have looked originally,” said John Buck, owner of Rod Shows and producer of the Sacramento Autorama. “This year’s winners were shining examples of that. Troy Ladd’s history-making win as the first builder
to ever win both the ‘Custom d’Elegance’ and ‘America’s Most Beautiful Roadster’ titles shows just how amazing his ‘Mullholland Speedster’ really is.” In addition to the “Custom d’Elegance” and “King of Kustoms” awards, there were four more coveted awards given out known as the “Big B” awards. The first, called “World’s Most Beautiful Custom,” was given out by show creator H.A. Bagdasarian’s family and again the winner was Troy Ladd and his 1936 Packard, the “Mullholland Speedster.” The second “Big B” award, known as the “Sam Barris Memorial Award,” was picked by the Barris family for best metal work, alignment of body panels, and paint. This year the Barris family chose Troy Ladd with his 1936 Packard for the award.
The Joe “Candy Apple Red” Bailon Award was designed, created, and handpicked by Joe Bailon who is known as one of the nation’s premier custom car designers and builders. This year the third “Big B” trophy and its $500 prize went to Joe and Carol Cusumano for their 1954 Mercury named “Tangerine On Ice.” Eventually the Dick Bertolucci Automotive Excellence Award was the final “Big B” award of the event and was awarded to the vehicle manufactured before 1973 that Dick Bertolucci personally felt exhibited the best craftsmanship in assembly, fit and finish, and detail. This year, it was Michael McAuliffe and his 1940 Ford Sedan called “The Second Time Around” which impressed Mr. Bertolucci enough to take home the trophy and $500 in prize money.

Ford
has just launched the ultra-lightweight Ford GT Competition Series for North America in Daytona, the site of its win at the Rolex 24 in January. The Ford GT Competition Series was engineered to build on the car’s innovative lightweight and aerodynamic design. The track fans’ ultimate production car removes weight higher in the vehicle and shifts the center of gravity closer to the track for even better road-holding, and to maximize its 647 horsepower engine. “The Ford GT has racing in its blood,” said Raj Nair, Ford executive vice president, global product development, and chief technical officer. “The Competition Series was developed with the most hardcore track enthusiasts in mind, providing a tailored set of lightweight features and unique livery to match.” For example, the innovative lightweight, race-inspired Perspex® acrylic engine hatch cover with manual latch and carbon fiber prop rod reduces weight near the roof and shifts the balance of weight lower in the car. Similarly, the bulkhead Gorilla Glass® behind the driver is about half as thick – and lighter – as on other models. All performance features from the standard production car remain, including the FIA-certified steel roll cage and active aerodynamic system. Items not essential to performance – including air conditioning,

radio and speakers, stowage bins and cupholders – are eliminated. Weight-reducing optional equipment – such as performance-enhancing carbon fiber wheels, and titanium lug nuts and exhaust – are standard on the Competition Series. COPIOUS CARBON The Competition Series also looks the part with unique gloss carbon fiber stripe, mirror caps and A-pillars, as well as exposed carbon fiber lower body trim in matching gloss finish. Inside, the Competition Series maintains the lightweight interior and keeps the same drivercentric elements of other models, including the F1-styled steering wheel with key functional controls. Ebony Alcantara® suede is used on the seats, instrument panel and headliner. Exposed carbon fiber accentuates the console, registers and door sills. Anodized red paddle shifters and instrument panel badge bring accent color to the cabin, while a unique center console plate and steering wheel fascia account for the deleted infotainment controls and screen. The Competition Series is offered in six Ford GT colors – Shadow Black, Frozen White, Ingot Silver, Liquid Blue, Liquid Grey and Triple Yellow – and is available in North America for all announced production years.
