Summary The critical cartography and new challenges in Information Technology (IT) Age are harmonious. These critiques come together with new challenges and new opportunities. If each science has not been changed in suitable time, it would be conflicted in itself. In case of the critical cartography, it has been adapted following to the advance and changing of technology development and modern society particularly principal of philosophy, theories, and concepts of cartography. Since 2000s, the cartography occurs at the great shifting from analog mapping to digital mapping coherently the expansion of advanced information technology and communication including GIS tools (Geographical Information Systems). Since the GIS has been developed in the late 1980s , from now to then , it effected to the cartography methodology significantly. According to the article, the critical cartography is composed of the critiques of cartography philosophy, cartographic theory, cartographic practice , and new challenges for instance: arts and mapping imagination, the daily produced mapping, and the map hacking. Keywords: the critical cartography, GIS, the arts and imagination of mapping, the modern cartography philosophy, the new cartography theories, the map hacking สาระสังเขป วิกฤติการทํ าแผนทีกับความท้าทายใหม่ในยุคไอที เป็ นเรื องทีดํ าเนินไปด้ วยกั นอย่างสอดคล้ อง การ เกิดวิกฤติม ั กมาพร้อมกับความท้าทายใหม่และโอกาสใหม่เสมอ หากศาสตร์ใดไม่มีการปรับตั วก็จะเกิดความ ขัดแย้ งในตัวมั นเอง กรณี วิกฤติการทํ าแผนทีก็เช่นเดียวกันซึ งจํ าเป็ นต้องมีการปรับตัวตามความก้าวหน้าและ การเปลียนแปลงการพั ฒนาทางเทคโนโลยีและสังคมสมั ยใหม่ โดยเฉพาะในด้านหลั กปรัชญา ทฤษฎี และ แนวคิดการทํ าแผนที ล้ วนเป็ นไปตามยุคสมั ยทีเปลียนไป ในยุค 2000s มานี ศาสตร์การทํ าแผนทีได้ปรับตัว ขนานใหญ่จากแผนทีอะนาล๊อกไปสู่แผนทีดิจิตอล พร้อมๆกับการขยายตั วทางเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและ การสือสารทีก้าวหน้า โดยเฉพาะการพั ฒนาระบบ GIS (Geographical Information Systems) ขึ นมาในราว ปลายปี 1980s ได้ส่งผลกระทบต่อการทํ าแผนทีอย่างเห็นได้ชัดมาจนถึงทุกวั นนี ในบทความนี ได้ กล่าวถึง วิกฤติการทํ าแผนทีประกอบด้วย วิกฤติในเชิงปรัชญาการทํ าแผนที วิกฤติเชิงทฤษฏีการทํ าแผนที วิกฤติด ้าน การฝึ กฝนการทํ าแผนที และสิ งท้าทายใหม่ ได้แก่ ศิลปะและจินตนาการการทํ าแผนที การผลิตแผนทีขึ น ใหม่ทุกวั น และการโจรกรรมแผนที เป็ นต้น
