When completing the following work take precaution to keep existing cove molding, at dining room, intact. Create new, large opening, with dropped header, at wall dividing kitchen from dining room (at NON-LOAD BEARING WALL). New opening's dropped header to be 83-1/2" above finished floor.

DEMOLITION NOTES: Kitchen demolition of work area to EPA lead safe work practices: Move fridge to south/east corner of dining room until picked up by Warner Stellian Move range to garage to be picked up and recycled. Move butler door to basement to be stored by owners. Remove and keep door bell - to be reinstalled. Remove and dispose vent cover from return vent by back entry door At back entry one section of wood wainscoting to be removed and kept for re-install. If needed remove and keep coat haning strip for reinstall. Majority of wood wainscotting to remain as is. North wall of kitchen to remain and be trenched as needed - also demo its wood wainscoting See construction documents for instruction on which corner to remove wainscoting up to and keep remaining wainscoting. Demo casing from back entry door and two kitchen windows. Remove and keep base molding from dining room side of wall being removed - to be reinstalled All base in kitchen to be disposed of. Demo and dispose of all plumbing fixtures, countertops, cabinetry, and ceiling fan Demo soffits Gut exterior walls of kitchen and back entry to the studs. Demo 2 kitchen windows When completing the following work take precaution to keep existing cove molding, at dining room, intact. - Create new, large opening, with dropped header, at wall dividing kitchen from dining room. - see framing section for further details. North wall of kitchen to remain and be trenched as needed. Demo floor of kitchen and back entry down to the sub floor.
