Town & County News & Events Castle Rock extends water restrictions due to drought conditions-Water restrictions in Castle Rock will last an extra month this year, following Town Council’s vote last week. Town water restrictions will last from June 1 through Sept. 30. In the past, restrictions have ended Aug. 31. Despite weekends full of spring snow, there are still statewide concerns about extreme drought conditions this summer. The extra month of restrictions reduces demand during a time late in the irrigation season, when the state has been experiencing hotter temperatures and drier conditions. The meetings start at 6 pm at Town Hall, 100 N. Wilcox St., and there is always opportunity for public comment. Meetings are also broadcast live online. Town Council initially discussed the pending legislation and the United States Constitution during its March 5 meeting.
