Outstanding Member Business Recognized Douglas Roofing Company was started on the foundation of a simple idea back when much of Colorado's front range was still wide open country. Times have changed across the entire Denver Metro since 1982 but that foundation we began with has not changed: to do our very best, every time, to ensure your best interest is always at the forefront, to stand behind our word and to give you our all; every second, every minute, every day. Douglas Roofing Company has been a beacon of stability within the property restoration sector in Colorado for over 35 years, and throughout this long period of time our name has remained the cornerstone of professionalism and integrity. We are here to set the standard in commercial and industrial insurance restoration and we create value for our customers with this specialized knowledge to a level that is unmatched within the industry.

Developing Leaders in Douglas County Thank you to our January and February venue and meal sponsors: Charles Schwab & Co, Northwest Douglas County Economic Development Corporation, Douglas County Libraries and Arapahoe Community College Foundation

“Think about your local library as more than just books. The vast array of resources and technology available to patrons is impressive.” -Class 2019 Participant In the afternoon, the class heard from Thomas Tucker, Superintendent of Douglas County School District, Eric Dunker for ACC Collaboration Campus and Geniphyr Ponce-Pore, CSU Regional Hubs, on the impacts of growth in the county, sources of funding, and the partnership goals between Douglas County School District, Arapahoe Community College and Colorado State University. The class followed these discussions with a hard-hat tour of the Collaboration Campus in Castle Rock. The class day was planned and facilitated by Jill Garber/CSU, Eric Dunker/ACC and Jeff Konishi/Douglas County Libraries. Class participants were able to demo the Virtual Reality headsets available at the library. Scotty Martin from ReVision, Inc. started the day in February with a leadership session on Process Improvement. The morning’s speakers included Amber DeBerry, Director of Community Relations for the libraries, Andrea Wyant, Collection Development Librarian and Jesse Politi, Senior Infrastructure Engineer. The class learned about the goals of the library to provide a premium, personal experience for patrons through creative programming, the availability of non-traditional library items and experiences to create community connections for those who participate. The class learned that everything from a sewing machine to a karaoke machine can be borrowed, just like a book! Participants also had the opportunity to experience virtual reality through special headsets and discovered that in addition to books, there is access to free audiobooks, music, e-books, and other digital media, as well as state parks passes; museum and cultural attractions passes; local merchant discounts; online learning and craft classes; and much more.

Photos from these recent classes can be viewed on the LDC Facebook page NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR LDC’s 21st PROGRAM YEAR. Application Deadline is JUNE 20TH. Classes start in September. Anyone who lives and/or works in Douglas County is encouraged to apply early to this competitive program. Space is limited. The application is available at http:// leadershipdouglascounty.org. For more information or to observe program by visiting a class day, contact info@leadershipdouglascounty.com or call 720.440.3726.
