New Chair Elected to Castle Rock Chamber Versa+lity Crea+ve Group’s Mark Michael Welcomed at April 21 Gala Local agency Versa+lity Crea+ve Group is known around Douglas County and Colorado for its video produc+on, graphic design, photography, social media and web design services. With a ubiquitous presence in the Castle Rock market, owners Sandy and Mark Michael are a fixture in the town and have made a las+ng impression on the business community. Mark is originally from the northern Denver suburbs, but aCended the University of Southern California’s pres+gious film school. “I was born and raised in Colorado, and we knew ul+mately we’d be raising our family here. It feels good to think that what we do is important to the businesses in the area, Mark Michael and the chamber is extremely Chairman of the Board important to maintaining such a thriving Versa0lity Crea0ve Group community. Business owners put their savings, sweat, blood and tears into their businesses and we support them anyway we can.” Mark met Sandy while they were both working in Hollywood; their combined 25 years of TV experience has companies like NBC Sports, The Cooking Channel, A&E and more tapping VCG for major projects. Since the company’s incep+on as a small startup in a home office, Versa+lity Crea+ve Group has more than doubled in size, growing into a na+onally recognized crea+ve services firm. Bernie Greenberg, the immediate past chair of the chamber and partner at the law firm of Kokish, Goldmanis & Greenberg P.C., had this to say: “I am so excited about the elec+on of Mark Michael to be our new chair. Mark's energy, youth and professionalism all help to inform his unique problem-solving approach and will be a huge asset to the Castle Rock Chamber as it moves forward into the future.” Castle Rock, as one of the country’s fasted growing ci+es, has experienced a lot of change over the past few years, and has become a hot-spot for businesses of all types and a prime des+na+on for families. As the town con+nues this upward trend, the chamber’s role has become even more important. Being elected chair at this exci+ng +me is definitely a nod to the confidence the business community has in Mark and Versa+lity, but he will be accompanied by a talented board of directors. “We know that Mark and his board of directors will help drive this awareness and make it known that Castle Rock is not only a top place to live and raise a family, but also the best place to locate your business. Knowing that the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce helps the en+re community in developing a talented work force is cri+cal to any company looking for their business home. It’s not only an exci+ng +me to live in Castle Rock, it’s also a very exci+ng place to work as well!” said Greenberg. Versa lity Crea ve Group is a full-service agency that uses video, graphic design, photography, social media management and web design to cra brand’s stories. New in 2018, the Chamber's Community Champions Awards was created to honor the first responders in our community that serve and protect us. The following individuals represent the men and women in their departments that inspire others through their selflessness and extraordinary service. The Chamber recognized the following organiza+ons: Chief MaChew Packard, Colorado State Patrol, Sheriff Tony Spurlock, Douglas County Sheriff, Chief Art Morales, Castle Rock Fire, and Chief Jack Cauley, Castle Rock Police. Ridler presented each of them with a handcraVed Colorado Flag Art piece made from reclaimed wood pallets by individuals at the Wellspring Community. Wellspring Community empowers the lives of adults with special needs by crea+ng specially modified and supported business enterprises. The high-spirited evening would not be complete without taking a moment to recognize a few of the many successes the Chamber celebrated over the past year which included their 4-Star Accredita+on recogni+on by the United States Chamber of Commerce. The US Chamber awarded the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce with 4-Star Accredita+on for its sound policies, effec+ve organiza+onal procedures, and posi+ve impact on the community. This is a tremendous honor as Castle Rock Chamber is one of only two chambers in the state of Colorado that have received a star level accredita+on. Another accomplishment included the crea+on of the Chamber Founda+on 501(c)3, a non-profit affiliate of the Chamber whose mission is to support and advance the educa+onal, sociological, economic and cultural interests of the Castle Rock community. Proceeds from the live auc+on benefited the founda+on. Wrapping up the fes+vi+es included a heart-felt thank you of gra+tude to the Chamber's Chairman Circle sponsors, corporate sponsors and supporters of the Chamber's mission and vision to Ignite Passion for Business Success and Community Prosperity. A special thank you was extended to Javier and Sarah Hoggard, Patriot Pros for sponsoring the VIP recep+on that Robbie Person and Bruce Hier, kicked off the evening of celebra+on.
