This year we didn’t have a past student speaker, but the students were delighted to see a 20-minute segment from the cancelled school production of ‘Footloose’. It was a fantastic show and wish students could have put on the

We were very lucky to be able to run the Lagoon Dash and we had a great Past Students team of brothersister duo Harry and Emma Parks, Jack Creme and Shona Johnson. It was the usual good fun banter between the staff and past students, with the staff wanting to take the win, seeing they had not won since 2009. The staff were so happy to take out the Bragging Rights Trophy for 2020.
PAST VERSUS CURRENT STUDENTS TOUCH AND NETBALL
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this year’s Past Vs. Current Students’ Touch and Netball games have been cancelled.
We managed to hold our AGM and second meeting of the year in August. It was nice to finally come together as a group and meet again after a six-month break. Our elections were held and the following were elected to the committee for 2020-2021: President: Tom Porter Vice President: John Frizzell Secretary: Tristan Davey Treasurer: Val Carson Committee members: Mary Gallagher, Toni Lanphier, Annette Nelson, Fiona Macdonald, and we welcomed new committee member Jeff Pearce. I am very privileged to still be the President of this wonderful association and look forward to the year ahead. I am hoping that we might be able to hold a function in Term 4 and invite the past students and the school community to come together. If you would like to join the committee or have any questions please don’t hesitate to email me: tom.porter@cathedral.qld.edu.au.
