MESSAGE FROM OUR CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Dear Friends, With your partnership, we reached more than 32,000 individuals in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Marin this past year. Through our proactive work, partnerships, and advocacy, our dedicated staff of more than 600 works to break the generational cycles of poverty to create a more equitable, compassionate community where all have opportunity, value, and dignity. Rooted in our faith traditions of charity and justice, Catholic Charities serves and is open to all. We are grounded in our values of exceptional service while continually adapting to the real needs of our community. We combine industry best practices – many created by us – and data with nimble responsiveness that enable us to evolve and innovate. We are proud to stand with you as we endeavor to make our community a better, more equitable place for everyone. Thank you for helping us touch so many lives last year. There is more for us to do. Blessings,
JILMA L. MENESES

Prior to coming to Catholic Charities, I was homeless on the streets of San Francisco. I don’t take life for granted anymore. I chose life and Catholic Charities helped me get to that place.”

Catholic Charities has an outsized impact on poverty alleviation in San Francisco—with funding, with love, with feet on the ground doing the work. Its work to help the marginalized, the forgotten, the homeless, and the sick—regardless of religion or background—is one of the most important, yet least-understood stories in our city today.”
