Welcome to the 11th Annual "Who's Your Daddy" Shorthorn bull sale. In this catalogue you will find 50 thick, easy fleshing Shorthorn bulls. These bulls represent the top cut from over 300 purebred Shorthorn females that are raised under commercial conditions. They are bred to go out and sire cattle that can survive and produce with a minimum of feed and labor, the two biggest costs facing our industry today. If you have any questions about the offering or are unable to attend the sale, feel free to contact the sales staff or consignors and we will be happy to assist you. Lunch will be served prior to the sale.

Saskvalley Stock Farm Once again we are bringing you a group of bulls that are bred to perform on grass in the summer and low cost rations in the winter. They have never been pushed for maximum gain. After weaning these bulls were slowly brought up to a ration that is designed for them to gain 2.5 pounds per day. They were kept on this ration until they were turned out onto grass in May. During the summer these bulls received only grass, no supplementation. In October they were once again slowly brought up to the same ration as they received the first winter We are trying to breed cattle that can survive and reproduce with a minimum of labor and feed, the two things we always seem to be in short supply of.
