Welcome to our 16th annual Springfield Angus Production Sale. I want to start off by saying THANK YOU to the people that keep us in business, you the customer. In the 45 years of breeding cattle, I have learned to always try to put customer service first. I have dedicated a lifetime of breeding Angus cattle, and I can honestly say it is a very exciting time to be in the Angus business.

I firmly believe that no other breed has as much information and applied technology in their database as we Angus breeders have. Because of this technology and data that we have access to, I believe the risks are less and less with each passing generation. Because of these technologies, DNA evaluations and more predictable EPDs, I feel that we the breeders have the opportunity to add more value to our product. We continually strive to better ourselves each year by adding the industry’s most elite genetics to our program. I am very excited about the impact this set of cattle is going to have on the industry. The entire offering is loaded with cattle that excel in phenotype and genotype. I am super proud of the weaned ET heifers, yearlings, and bred heifers. I feel we have made genetic progress with the offspring on the side of the fall calving cows and the new spring born babies. There is something for everyone in this offering. We have always emphasized calving ease, rapid growth, and carcass merit in a beautiful package that, most importantly, will increase value for our customers. I am gratefully appreciative to my crew (Alex and Tiger) who have helped get the cows bred, fed and prepped for the sale. They are an outstanding group of guys.

Cattle may be loaded following the sale, but can remain at the sale site until trucking arrangements can be made or pickup arranged. If you are unable to haul your own cattle, truckers known to be reliable will be on hand to assist you.
