RYAN HURLBURT: LMAC Champion Auctioneer in 2016 at Brussels, Ontario. Ryan is lead auctioneer at Saskatoon Livestock Sales. He also has become an accomplished purebred auctioneer. Ryan is a graduate of the Canadian Cattlemen’s CYA program. He entered his first national competition in 2013. Ryan lives on an acreage outside of Saskatoon.

JASON DANARD: Co-owner of the Calgary Stockyards and TEAM. He is director-at-large on the LMAC. He is also the chairman of the International Auctioneering Championships held in conjunction with the Calgary Stampede. Jason has represented the marketing industry on a number of committees.

ALBERT CARROLL: Ab was crowned the Canadian Champion at LMAC 2018 in Lethbridge, Alberta. He is currently the operations manager and auctioneer at the Ontario Stockyards in Cookstown, Ontario. Ab has been a huge supporter of LMAC and is one of the up and comers in the Ontario Livestock Auction Markets Association.

LMAC LIVE AUCTION COMPETITION JUDGES

RYAN KONYNENBELT: Ryan is a partner and lead auctioneer at the Southern Alberta Livestock Exchange. In 2019, he was LMAC Canadian Auctioneer Champion. That year he also won the International Competition at the Calgary Stampede. That earned him a spot at the LMA World Championships in Tulare, California. He was a Top Ten finalist in a very strong field. He entered his first National competition in 2015 in Winnipeg as a rookie and is considered one of the industry’s fastest rising stars. ANDY CARTER: Andy was crowned LMAC Champion auctioneer in 2008 in St-Isidore, Quebec after posting top scores in both rounds. It was his first time to LMAC! Carter sells at the Atlantic Stockyards in Truro, Nova Scotia. He also has a successful auction centre and conducts all types of sales. Andy is a purebred Hereford enthusiast and lives near Amherst, Nova Scotia.

REG SCHELLENBERG: Reg was just elected President of the Canadian n t of thPresident of theCanadiadiane Can Cattlemen’s Association in March. He and his wife Shannon operate a lare argeate a opera cow/calf ranch near Beechy, Saskatchewan. He is a powerful advocate for the or the cattle industry, serving on many boards including CCIA. He has been a strong ally of LMAC, and helped pave the way for LMAC’s membership in CCA.

RON STEVENSON: Ron wears many hats. He is a cattle producer and sits on the Board of Directors for Beef Farmers of Ontario. He is also a partner in Metzger Vet in Linwood, Ontario. Metzger has recently expanded their operations to Alberta. Ron has been a great LMAC supporter since 2016 when Brussels hosted the event.

JAY SYVERSON: Jay is a partner in the Medicine Hat Feeding Co. Auction Market in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He is a trained auctioneer and runs a yearling grasser operation. Jay has been a strong supporter of LMAC.

MIKE FLEURY: Mike retired as the manager of Saskatoon Livestock Sales a few years back. He is a past LMAC President and LMAC Hall of Fame inductee. Mike is a former Man/Sask auctioneering champion. Mike has represented the marketing industry on a number of committees, both provincially and nationally. Mike is still involved with purebred Black Angus cattle and registered Percheron horses. He farms near Aberdeen, Saskatchewan.

DAN SKEELS: Danny needs no introduction, as he is a legend in the livestock auctioneering industry. He is the only Canadian to win the Auctioneering Triple e Crown - the LMAC, the International in Calgary, and the World Championship p in Billings Montana. He is one of only two people to be awarded the LMAC Industry Champion Award for outstanding achievement and promotion of the of the auction industry and LMAC.
