This fancy heifer catches my eye every time I see her in the pasture. She has it all. The body depth from the girth to the flank. The stoutness that carries behind the shoulder all the way through to the pins. All this in one package with a small square head. She is stamped to be a powerful cow. 

Susie Sue 320F dam is 10 years old, she is easy keeping, a functional cow, with a great udder. I am sure I’ll get more outstanding calves from her. HH Livestock The HH heifers are the most uniform group I have raised. They are similar in every way - size, weight, shape, color, age and breeding (many are half sisters). They come from hard working ranch cows - productive, fertile and profitable. They are all bred to HH Miner 10D (Glenford Miner 68Y x YY Baroness Irene 215Z) . HH Miner 10D showed outstanding muscle dimension and shape from a very early age. He kept this and rose to the top of the 2 year old bull pen. He ranks in the top 10% of the breed for CED, top 3% for BW, top 1% for Milk, top 10% TM, top 10% $CEZ, and top 15% $BMI. This bull has it all, eye appeal and great numbers. HH Miner 10D is TH and DS Free. HH Miner 10D has a 75lbs BW unassisted. Pasture Exposed June 25th - August 29th, 2018 to HH Miner 10D. Heifers preg tested safe in calf.

Isla is a long bodied female which descends from the Isla cow family developed at the Brandon Research Centre years back. They have a little added frame giving them added performance but do not sacrifice depth and fleshing ability. While watching my steers sell this fall I noticed a large split in some of the heifer prices and later in conversation with the Market Manager he explained that the buyers pay a premium for added frame in the heifer calves so as to have them finish heavy enough. We can certainly get our cattle too small and need to keep this in mind.

Bred to Uphill Headliner 16F on July 03 for an early April calf.

We purchased the dam, Eionmor Hazel 15B from Morrison’s the year after their dispersal as a calf. She has a little more frame but lots of volume and has left us very good calves. She traces back to Eionmor Mochican Hazel 42B twice on the bottom side of her pedigree. This is the dam of Eionmor Ideal 69F who was a stellar herdsire for Morrison’s and this was one of the reasons we purchased her. Her dam and half sisters have produced some of the best females and bulls for us and I believe this young female will follow in their footsteps.
