Free delivery of bulls at the purchaser’s risk within a 400 KM radius of Grande Prairie. Delivery beyond this radius will be at cost. Bulls may be kept by the consignor, free of charge until April 1, 2016. Should the purchaser wish to extend the bull’s stay beyond this date, the cost of care and feed will be $3.00/day/bull. Willowdale Simmentals

Bull Sale time again! We have a great selection of Homozygous polled, red and black Simmentals. The collection is rounded out by a dark red, white faced 2 year old; a very good red angus and a cross bred bull. Our feeding program has stayed the same; home based feeding ration and hay. The bulls are not overfed, have moderate birth weight, and display sound performance. In order to make improvement in your herd you have to believe in each new crop of bred heifers. Thirteen bulls in the sale are from first calf heifers- half from our past herd sires like Sunny Valley Banker and CMS Keystone. CMS Keystone sons make up our largest sire group. They display that extra width in the hip, deep rib and wide top. Kuntz Sheriff, an AI bull, has produced an awesome group of low birth weight bulls with good testicles and top gains. The black bulls are a very uniform group. WFL Absolute has produced three very functional bulls with great attitudes. A couple of these blacks are homozygous black for those breeders wanting no reds. With the use of 10 sires, breeders should be able to select bulls that are not related to past purchases. New this year will be the heifer sale. We always sell some heifers after the bull sale and thought this was the opportunity to bring a large group. These heifers are back grounded on alfalfa hay, silage and 6lbs of grain. All heifers are guaranteed open. Most will sell as commercials with a select number of purebreds. All bulls are semen tested and guaranteed to be satisfactory breeders. We have a full herd health protocol. We stand behind our bulls and want you, the buyer to be satisfied with your purchase. Call or visit the farm to discuss the bulls. Twenty open commercial heifers will be sorted sale day into groups of 4 or 5 heifers /lot. These heifers are on a good back grounding ration of oat silage, alfalfa hay and 6 pounds of grain. February 6th, they weighed between 700-850 pounds. Most were born late February and March, 2017. The heifers are guaranteed open, will be up to date on all their herd health shots and ivomeced, ready for your breeding program. They will make excellent replacement heifers. We have been selling a number of commercial heifers every year privately. This year we decided to bring them to town.

Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or cheque – payable in Canadian funds at par immediately following the sale. The right of ownership shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made before any animals are released. Disputes: The Auctioneer shall control the bidding at all times. In case of disputes the Auctioneer’s decision shall be final. Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the Purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. Announcements: Announcements from the auction stand will take precedence over any printed matter. Accidents: All precautions possible will be taken to protect the safety of the buyers. Grande Prairie Livestock Market nor any owner assumes responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of accidents or loss of property. All Sales of Animals: Shall be by auction and shall be conducted by the Auctioneers. Breeding Guarantees: The seller warrants clear title to and the right to sell each animal offered for sale. All bulls offered will have passed a semen evaluation and are warranted to be sound, however, the seller is not responsible for damage caused by foreign objects after the bull has been sold nor sickness that was not apparent at the time of the sale. Certificate of Registry: A certificate of registry duly transferred to the buyer will be furnished for each registered animal after settlement is made. Rights & Obligations: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
