PPE SAFETY TOOLKITS

This summer, One Columbus distributed PPE Safety Toolkits, donated by JobsOhio, to assist small businesses throughout the Region. These PPE Safety Toolkits provide PPE resources to stay protected and operate within the State’s safety guidelines. With help from the Columbus Urban League, the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and local economic development partners, nearly 3,000 toolkits were distributed to small businesses throughout the Columbus Region. Each toolkit included 100 masks, 10 KN95 masks and hand sanitizer.

EQUITY ALLIANCE

The Franklin County Board of Commissioners, One Columbus and the Columbus Urban League are collaborating in a historic partnership dedicated to supporting black and underutilized businesses diminished by the economic injury of systemic racism and the impact of COVID-19. The new Franklin County Business Growth and Equity Alliance (the Equity Alliance) focuses on implementing economic equity and shared prosperity strategies. The priority initiative was to establish the Franklin County Community Equity Fund to provide grants to small blackowned businesses, laying the foundation for a Community Development Financing Institution (CDFI) to serve the unmet credit needs of low and moderate wealth communities.
