This summer we welcomed Dr. Kristina Johnson as the 16th president of The Ohio State University. Brad McLean joined our membership as president of AT&T Ohio and Mark Johnson succeeded John McEwan as managing partner of Deloitte.

Our full member meeting provided an overview of the Partnership’s strategic workstreams and priorities that will guide us for the coming months and year. UPCOMING November 12-13 //
This year’s retreat, to take place virtually instead of at Harvard, will be focused the DEI workstream of the Partnership.
December 10 //
While we can’t gather for our annual holiday party, we’ll close out the year by taking time for a bit of virtual cheer and celebration.

STRATEGIC WORKING GROUPS
This summer the Columbus Partnership began to implement three member-led working groups that will structure and guide our work through the next year and beyond.
Nancy Kramer GOVERNANCE AND MEMBERSHIP The Governance and Membership working group, chaired by Nancy Kramer, will evolve the structure and governance policies of the Partnership, analyze and update the charter and bylaws to reflect the best possible model and engage in succession planning.
Additionally, a formal finance committee is being led by Mark Howard of Nationwide.
Mike Kaufmann Curt Moody DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION (DEI) The DEI working group, co-chaired by Mike Kaufmann and Curt Moody, will sustain member engagement in DEI through recommendations for implementation in Partnership companies, working to identify the Partnership’s role in community-based efforts to build racial equity, and leveraging the Partnership’s collective voice for change and leadership.

COMPETITIVENESS
The Competitiveness Council, led by Nick Akins, Steve Steinour and Kirt Walker, is tasked with informing the Partnership’s policy agenda and other community priorities by assessing what’s necessary to ensure the Columbus Region is a competitive market for business.
