Most cooking classes meet at Central Valley High School, 160 Baker Rd. Ext., in the Home Economics Room – Classroom South D20/first room on left. Make the first right at CVHS main entrance (parking lot next to Rudy Gradisek baseball field) and enter the Central Administration doors.
English muffins and crumpets are traditional breakfast and tea time treats. Both griddle cakes have nooks and crannies for absorbing melted butter and delicious jams. GREAT FOR GIFTS Meet our Featured Instructor: Catherine Roth Catherine enjoys teaching yoga, cardio-kickboxing, martial arts and self-defense. With ten years of teaching yoga, Catherine is a Certified Yoga Instructor and a Third Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do (Korean Martial Arts). Catherine also has a Fitness Trainer Certification from the International Sports Science Association. Aside from her time teaching at CCBC, Catherine is the owner of American Lotus, a fitness training company, and a Martial Arts Instructor at Pittsburgh Martial Arts-Beaver Valley. Catherine’s teaching methods are simple, practical and effective, emphasizing discipline, consistency over intensity and taking care of oneself. A former chain smoker and drive-thru food junkie, fitness inspired her to trade in bad habits for good ones. Like the American Lotus we can all rise from the mud and blossom into the best version of ourselves.
