Daydreams
I-79 Home
Daydreams; those thoughts that float like leaves,
The tattoo on your arm reads “Route 79,”
Falling from trees,
You told me it’s so you can always find your way home, straight to your mother’s door
By Angela Paterchak
Never leaving the security of your lips. Disguised by the illusion you so brilliantly instruct. Temple concealed, a product of one’s precious manifestation. Daydream; for one cannot envy the happiness of these thoughts. Nor steal the beauty of these visions. Only one has the power of. May only yourself, turn such beauty so sour.
By Kristi Winters
I want to become your home, your comfort More than a roof over your head, I can be the feeling of a cool pillow beneath it The warmth that takes over when you step into a hot bath The scent of apples and cinnamon welcoming you from the kitchen Let the ink on my skin lead you like road signs and highway markers Feel the curve of this body like those on the road And melt into my embrace and come on home Relax, my dear, you’re safe here now.
