Chapter President
Jack and Jill Palm Beach Family Members, we are at the end of another great year of working, living and playing as Jack and Jill family! We navigated all the stops, starts and detours with ease and we have much to be proud of! Moms on a Mission, Moving in Excellence was the theme for our annual retreat; we knew the year would require next-level focus and engagement to execute our inaugural beautillion cotillion while providing amazing programming Palm Beach Chapter moms embraced the charge and executed flawlessly!
We kicked off the year with an impactful black history scavenger hunt for Jack and Jill Day Our holiday party was one for the record books; Trunks and Treats allowed us to celebrate the holidays in a safe, fun and creative way. Throughout the year, the grade groups hosted engaging ‘If not for Jack and Jill’ programming activities. Our year end event, Black Family Day, will take place at Drive Shack with a ParTee celebrating our graduating teens and moms.
In addition to providing stellar programming, we were intentional about nurturing ourselves We enjoyed several adult programming events this year: from our picnic style vision board gathering to the food tour in Delray Beach, there were several opportunities to connect as mothers We were encouraged to focus on our overall health We had guest speakers present to us about breast cancer awareness and overall health advocacy, the importance of heart health, considerations of estate planning and the alternatives for financing college. Sister Mom Month was jam packed with opportunities for us to recharge and refuel.
We increased our community presence through social media and we had a lot of great things to share. As a chapter, we donated items to aid the survivors of earthquakes in Haiti and prepared and donated lunches and hygiene kits to St George’s Center for our Martin Luther King, Jr Day of service event Our Teddy Bear Palms donated to local food banks while the Majestic Palms participated in a Habitat for Humanity event From hosting workshops to securing sponsors, all moms have been dedicated to ensuring that our inaugural Beautillion Cotillion will be a raging success
As I reflect on this year, my heart is filled with pride and gratitude. I am grateful for each member of each family represented in JJPBC. I’m grateful for the engagement and commitment from each of our moms to make this chapter the premier organization that it is today. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as President of this esteemed chapter, and I am most grateful that the Palm Beach Chapter of Jack and Jill of America is thriving and poised to accomplish great things in the future!!
May God continue to bless the Palm Beach Chapter of Jack and Jill!
Sincerely
CP Lakiesha 2020-2022 Palm Beach Chapter President Jack and Jill of America, Inc.AMessage fromthe ProgramDirectors
Greetings Amazing JJPBC Moms,What a year! Thank you so much for your creativity, dedication, and support throughout the year. The wonderful thing about programming is it can not be done alone. We always say that programming is the heart of Jack and Jill and we were a team. Your flexibility and understanding of the various restrictions did not go unnoticed. It was because of you that we were able to create another superior handbook Thank you
As we look back at the year’s phenomenal activities, who could forget the Jack and Jill Day treasure hunt which was showcased to the region, or when the Sugar Palms took it back to the Motherland with African Dance and drumming? What about when the Teddy Bear Palms went to the Museum of Discovery Science and learned about electricity and built their own generator, which is included in the national publication, Scope. Let’s not forget about how the Windmill Palms went Glamping and Camping, how the Majestic Palms went back in time to capture the essence of great African American icons or how the Royal Palms braved “A Night in the Museum ” Our teens also made great things happen at teen conference when they placed first in the t-shirt design contest
Lastly, a major shout out to IPP Lakiesha, PP Elrika, Karlene and the Five Star committee for their commitment to excellence as our chapter received Five Star status! Also special shout outs to Moms Francine and VP Jennifer Mazyck-Brown and their committees for working tirelessly to organize a beautiful and memorable experience for our kids and the community. In closing, a special thank you to IPP Lakiesha for your leadership over the past two years. Your guidance and support was very much appreciated.
Once again, moms thank you!

You Are Forever Family to Us...
National Prayer
Our Father, make us better parents. Teach us to understand our children, to listen patiently to what they have to say, and to answer all their questions kindly Keep us from interrupting them, talking back to them, and contradicting them. Make us as courteous to them as we would have them be to us. Give us the courage to confess our sins against our children and to ask of them forgiveness when we know that we have done them wrong. May we not vainly hurt the feelings of our children. Forbid that we should laugh at their mistakes or resort to shame and ridicule as punishment Let us not tempt our children to lie or steal. So guide us hour by hour that we may demonstrate by all we say and do that honesty produces happiness. Reduce, we pray, that meanness in us. May we cease to nag; and when we are out of sorts, help us, O Lord, to hold our tongues. Blind us to the little errors of our children and help us to see the good things they do. Give us a ready word for honest praise. Help us to grow up with our children, to treat them as those of their own age; but let us not expect of them the judgments and convictions of adults. Allow us not to rob them of the opportunity to wait upon themselves, to think, to choose and make decisions. Forbid that we should ever punish them for our selfish gain. May we grant them all their wishes that are reasonable and have the courage always to withhold a privilege that we know will do them harm. Make us so fair and just, so considerate and companionable to our children that they will have genuine esteem for us. Fit us to be loved and imitated by our children. With these gifts, Dear God, give us calm and poise and self-control. Amen
