Facebook West Campus Menlo Park, CA Cumming is providing project, construction, and cost management support services to Facebook for its new Frank Gehry-designed West Campus. The project consists of a 430,000-SF, single-story open-plan office complex to house engineering and support staff, along with a 1,500-space parking garage. Sustainable design features, including a 9-acre green roof, are also being considered in the plan. The building is being constructed on a 22-acre parcel formerly occupied by Tyco Electronics.

Google Bayview Campus Mountain View, CA Cumming is providing cost services for Google’s 42-acre, 1.1 million-GSF expansion, which will make it the largest office complex in the United States with all radiant heating. The campus — which will include work spaces, cafes, meeting spaces, and several green roofs, among other amenities — features nine “bent rectangle” buildings connected by bridges, which will serve to foster connectivity and collaboration. The expansion, designed by architectural firm NBBJ, will be completed in 2015.

PIMCO Office Tower Newport Beach, CA Cumming worked with Pacific Investment Management Co. (PIMCO) – the world’s largest bond investor – on the fit-out of its new 380,000-SF, 20-story office tower in Newport Center. In the role of Cost Manager, Cumming has been tasked with conducting a peer review of the contractor’s budget, developing a detailed cost estimate, performing an analysis of contractor bids and assisting in contract negotiations, and validating change orders throughout construction. The new building, developed by Irvine Company, is one of the most prominent office facilities in Orange County.

Los Angeles Music Theater Los Angeles, CA Cumming oversaw the restoration, renovation, and expansion of theaters that make up the Los Angeles Music Center. Architect Welton Becket’s Music Center Plaza and the theaters around it were designed in the late style of New Formalism and are considered National treasures. These projects include the Mark Taper Forum, the Ahmanson Theater, and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, longtime home to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and currently the residence of Placido Domingo’s Los Angeles Opera.

Quechan Resort Winterhaven, CA For this luxury resort project, which opened significantly ahead of schedule and under budget, Cumming provided design, project, and cost management; scheduling; and OS&E and data center design and commissioning. The development includes a state-ofthe-art data center, a 166-room hotel, three restaurants, a food court, 62,000 sq. ft. of gaming space, a 25,000-sq.-ft. multi-use entertainment facility, and a water and wastewater treatment plant. Site amenities include a lazy river, pool, and spa.

Four Winds Casino New Buffalo, MI As the Owner’s Representative for this $450 million development, Cumming managed all aspects of the project’s budget and schedule from planning through close-out. The Four Winds Casino Resort is a master-planned development with a 130,000-sq.-ft. casino, six restaurants, a 2,200-car parking garage, and a Kids Quest center.

Red Hawk Casino Placerville, CA Red Hawk Casino is an extraordinary half-billion-dollar construction project comprising 278,000 sq. ft. The facility includes six restaurants, three bars, an eight-story, 2,400-stall parking structure, and a wastewater treatment plant. Cumming provided project and cost management to the tribe. Additionally, Cumming served as Resident Engineer for the $40 million freeway interchange project that included a flyover and underpass to improve access to the facility. The project was delivered in 20 months.

City of Arcadia Capital Projects Arcadia, CA Ranging in value from $4 million to $30 million, with a total combined budget in excess of $50 million, Cumming provided full project and construction management services to the City of Arcadia on a library addition and renovation, master plan assessment, new city hall, fire station, and police facility. In addition to our traditional project and construction management work, services included a value engineering workshop, prequalification of contractors, constructability reviews, and independent cost estimates for the library and police facility projects.

Chino Hills Government Center Chino Hills, CA Cumming provided cost estimating services for the construction of a new $50 million, 130,000-sq.-ft. government center. The complex includes a new city hall, library, sheriff facilities, and fire administration space. Estimates included costs for all required building components and systems (interior and exterior) as well as costs for associated sitework and improvements. Cumming’s services concluded in 2006.

Colorado Supreme Court & History Museum Denver, CO Cumming provided cost estimating services in support of a $232 million courts complex planned for the Denver Civic Center area. The new Supreme Court facility is planned to house the Colorado Supreme Court, the Attorney General’s Office, the Supreme Court Library, and other State offices. The museum facility will be home to the Colorado History Museum, Colorado Historical Society administrative offices, Office of Archeology and Historic Preservation, and the State Historical Fund.

Kaiser Oakland Hospital Oakland, CA Cumming, through a staff augmentation contract, is providing a full-time Project Manager in support of the project team for this new 650,000-GSF hospital, HSB, and Central Utility Plant project in downtown Oakland. In addition, Cumming is providing cost management services to Kaiser Permanente including detailed cost estimating, GMP negotiation, and change order analysis and support to the project team. This project, which is on track for completion in 2014, includes a new 12-story tower that includes a three-story podium and an 8-story bed tower that will accommodate 349 beds.

Services Project Management Staff Augmentation

UCSD Jacobs Medical Center San Diego, CA Cumming is providing project management, cost management, scheduling, and value engineering services to the new Jacobs Medical Center. The project includes a new 55,000-sq.-ft. central plant, a new 510,000-sq.-ft.10 story hospital tower, and roughly 80,000 sq. ft. of renovations to the existing Thornton Hospital. On this new $850 million state-of-the-art hospital project, Cumming is providing full-time project management support to UCSD with a Senior Project Manager in charge of the Central Plant project and overall facility MEP systems. Confidential, Disney's California Adventure Anaheim, CA Cumming provided estimating support for all the major elements of this billion-dollar revamp of DCA, which recently completed with the opening of Cars Land. Our role transitioned to cost management and final account closure during construction and included managing show and ride accounts. If the record-breaking queue lines are any indication, the makeover was a successful one. For those who haven’t been to the new and improved DCA, it’s nearly unrecognizable from what it was before.
