Written as a response to the political climate of the era of “extraordinary rendition,” the Patriot Act, and “freedom fries,” American Idiot follows three friends as they struggle to choose between their dreams and the gray anesthesia of suburbia.

THE CAST Elisa Dannielle (Extraordinary Girl) Elisa Dannielle is a South Florida native and received theatre training from both Broward College and Valencia College. Her credits include Aida with Slow Burn Theatre, Dreamgirls as Michelle with Marquee Theatre Company, and this will be her first show with Outré. Elisa is incredibly excited to join the cast of American Idiot as Extraordinary Girl.

Eytan Deray (Will) Eytan has been acting for over a decade. Having received his Associate’s in Arts at Broward College, he is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s in Theatre at Florida Atlantic University. Previous credits include Fiddler on the Roof (Rabbi/Sacha, FAU), The Who’s Tommy (Cousin Kevin, Outré), The Normal Heart (Craig/Grady, Outré), Once Upon a Mattress (Dauntless, FAU Festival Repertory), The Rocky Horror Show (Eddie, Evening Star/Infinite Abyss), Spring Awakening (Georg, Slow Burn), Jekyll & Hyde (Bishop, Marquee Theatre Company) Pericles (Leonine, FAU), Rent (Gordon/Waiter, Marquee Theatre Company) and Dog Sees God (Beethoven, Broward College). You can catch him next at Empire Stage in the world premiere of Stalker Bob and his Mother. He thanks the entire cast for welcoming him, his music director Kristen Long for her guidance, and his dear friend and director Doug Wetzel for always having faith in him.

Nicole Dikun (Ensemble) Nicole “Nikki” Dikun is a local South Florida actress. She most recently appeared as Muzzy Van Hossmere in Marquee Theatre Company’s Thoroughly Modern Millie. Some other credits include Dream Girls at Marquee Theatre Company and Hair at MNM Productions. Nicole is so excited to be a part of the Outré Theatre Company family and can’t wait to rock the stage with all of these incredible people! Nicole wants to thank her family who ALWAYS support her big crazy dreams. Love you guys!

Jordana Forrest (Heather) Jordana has her degree in Musical Theatre from Florida State University, where she had the ability to travel to London and study at the Royal Shakespeare Company. Out of school, she teaches master classes at studios like DANL, Sol Children Theatre, Pro Am Dance, and Dance Academy of Boca Raton, and does private audition coaching. Numerous musical theatre productions have shaped her career but here are some of her favorites; Annie in Annie, Get Your Gun, Woman #2 in 35mm (Regional Premiere), Maureen in Rent, Madame Thernardier in Les Mis, Woman #2 in Songs For a New World, Aldonza in Man of La Mancha, and too many more to mention. She is the former Artistic Director of Fresh Theatre Project and current Artistic Director of All Girl Band. Dimitri Gann (Johnny) A Northern Virginia transplant, this is Dimitri’s first show with Outré. He has previously appeared in several productions at the Lake Worth Playhouse, including Saturday Night Fever, Evita, Urinetown, and Rock of Ages. Other credits include Spamalot, A Chorus Line, and several shows with a repertory Shakespeare Theatre in New Hampshire. He studied performance and directing at George Mason University. He would like to thank his boyfriend, Ryan, for his unwavering support, and Kat Gold, for being an inspiration to us all.

Sara Grant (Ensemble) Sara graduated from Cornish College of the Arts and received her BFA in Acting. Some past productions include: Oleanna, Fancy Nancy, Love’s Labour’s Lost, The Last 5 Years, Howl’s Moving Castle: a staged reading, and Kittens in a Cage. As a Choreographer she has worked with Evening Star Productions, Teatro ZinZanni (Seattle), the Florida Renaissance Festival, and Sol Children Theatre’s Performing Arts Camp. Choreography/ Dance Direction credits include: The Addam’s Family, Aladdin (Jr), Honk, The Christmas Carol, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast (Jr). Directorial credits include: Assistant Director of Waiting for Godot, Co-Director of Watchful Eyes: a staged reading, and numerous community out-reach performances with Commedia del’ Sol.

Mark Hernandez (Ensemble) Mark is thrilled to be making his debut with Outré in American Idiot! He was most recently seen on stage as Jack in Maplewood Playhouse’s production of Glory Days and as Bun Foo in Marquee Theatre company’s production of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Previous credits also include Emmett in Legally Blonde, The Cat in The Hat in Seussical, CB in Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, and Mr. Marmalade in Mr. Marmalade. Mark would like to thank Doug, Kristen, Jerel, and the rest of the Outré family for this incredible opportunity.

Hilleah Neve (Whatsername) Hilleah is beyond thrilled to be working with this tremendous cast and crew, and to be making her Outré debut. Thank you so much to Doug and Kristen for seeing her inner “Whatsername” and offering her the role of a lifetime! You may have recently seen Hilleah at the Broward Stage Door Theatre in Nine as well as in Minnie’s Boys. She hopes that you love the show, and looks forward to entertaining you for many years to come!

Eric Daniel O’Keefe (Ensemble) Eric Daniel O’Keefe is a native New Yorker and graduate of Florida Atlantic University. Theatre credits include Buzz Adams in South Pacific at The Wick, Man #2 in 35mm: A Musical Exhibition at Evening Star Productions, Simon in Big River with Slow Burn Theatre Company, and Drew Boudreaux in the world premiere of Diego and Drew Say I Do! at the Broward Center. Eric wants to thank his family, friends, and his one and only Adam for all the love and support a guy could ask for.

Bridget Parente (Ensemble) Bridget is elated to be making her professional debut with Outré’s American Idiot! She recently graduated from Florida Atlantic University with her BFA in Theatre. Some of her favorite credits from FAU include: Callie from Stop Kiss, Kayleen from Gruesome Playground Injuries, and the Ensemble in She Loves Me. Bridget would like to thank her family and friends for their constant love and support throughout this journey. She would also like to thank the cast and crew for making this such a wonderful experience! She looks forward to working with Outré again in February as Ms. Orange in their production of Reservoir Dolls!

Patrick Rodriguez (Tunny) Patrick is so excited to finally be back at Outré! He is a Miami-based actor, and graduate of FIU’s BFA in Theatre. A company member of Villain Theatre - where he performs and teaches long form improv - and Lost Girls Theatre, he has been seen on the stage at Actors Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre, City Theatre, Florida Grand Opera, and Slow Burn Theatre. Many thanks to friends and family for all the love and support!

Conor Walton (St. Jimmy) Conor is so happy to be back on the stage at Outré Theatre Company. He was recently seen as Albert in It Shoulda Been You at Actor’s Playhouse, Thalia in Xanadu at Slow Burn Theatre, and Felix in The Normal Heart at Outré (Carbonell nomination). Other credits include Hermes in Rock Odyssey at the Adrienne Arsht Center, Reggie in First Date at Actor’s Playhouse (Carbonell nomination and Broadway World Award), Richard Loeb in Thrill Me at Outré Theatre Company (Broadway World Award) at the Broward Center, The Arbiter in Chess at Slow Burn Theatre, and Lewis in Pippin at the Boca Raton Theatre Guild. Noel Barry (Stage Manager): Noël Barry is very happy to be back with Outré Theatre Company for this season. She previously stage managed their productions of 1984, Bed and Sofa, and Goblin Market. She is especially excited about this production of American Idiot because she is a huge fan of Green Day’s music!! She earned her BA in Theatre Arts from Mars Hill University in Mars Hill, NC. She also spent two years studying theatre at FAU. Professionally, she has also worked with the Crest Theatre in Delray and Broward Stage Door Theatre. She would like to thank Doug for the opportunity and support. She would also like to thank the cast and production team for all their hard work and patience. She also thanks her friends and family for all their love & continued support. Christina Battaglia (Costume Design): Christina Battaglia is a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a

BA in technical design and a concentration in costume design and construction. This is her first production with Outré Theatre Company but her other areas of work include costume designing for individual performers, drag queen artists, and retail graphic design. She is proud to working alongside these very talented artists and under the leadership of such a passionate theatre company. Finally, Christina would like to dedicate any success of her work on this project to the late Kyle-Andrew James Barrett Edwards, the man who knew that all the world was a stage and to be successful you need only to find your light

Jerel Brown (Choreographer): Jerel is happy to be working with Outré once again. He had the opportunity to

choreograph The Who’s Tommy and was seen in the production of tick, tick...BOOM (Michael). Other credits include Universal Monsters Live (Universal Studios Japan) Tarzan, Aida, Parade (Slow Burn Theatre) Guys and Dolls, West Side Story (The Wick Theatre), and Hair (MNM Productions). He would like to thank Outré, the cast, crew and band for all of their hard work. Special thanks to everyone supporting local theatre.

Guy Haubrich (Lighting and Projections Design/Technical Director): Guy is a local lighting, projection and sound designer who graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a BA in Design & Technology, and an MFA in Performing Arts Production Management. Lighting and sound credits include: She Loves Me, King Lear, Company, Agnes of God, Omnium Gatherum, and Once Upon a Mattress for FAU; Parade, Chess, and Next to Normal for Slow Burn Theatre; 1984, Tommy, and The Normal Heart for Outré Theatre Company, Seasons Greetings and Marisol for Broward College, and Venus for The African Heritage Cultural Center, among others. He is thrilled to be working with Outré as their new Technical Director and resident designer. Kristen Long (Music Director/Keyboardist): Born and raised just outside of Boston, Kristen Long studied opera at The Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, though contemporary music and theatre were where her heart was, leading her to transfer to Berklee College of Music after only a year at Hartt. At Berklee she studied with Donna McElroy, Kathryn Wright and Sharon Brown. She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Vocal Performance in 2001. Along with being a singer-songwriter, she is a Vocal Director at Royal Caribbean Productions, and Vocal Coach to many successful clients, including Shelby Brown (The Voice Season 9). Long is the creator of The Journey: A New Indie Musical, which features her music along with the music of Long Lost Friend, the band she co-founded with drummer,Walter Brewer. Kristen has three releases including the full album Shoebox Memories, the single “The Sweetest Perfection” and her latest EP, Gypsy Soul, featuring Grammy-nominated cellist Rushad Eggleston. Christopher Mitchell (Assistant Stage Manager): Since graduating from FAU Theatre in 2012, Chris has worked both onstage and backstage across South Florida. Recent performance credits: Karl the Giant in Big Fish (Slow Burn Theatre), Lucky in Waiting for Godot (Evening Star Productions), Kevin in Octopus (Island City Stage), Bruce Niles in The Normal Heart (Outré Theatre), and Bradley in Mr. Marmalade (Outré Theatre). He also directed The Christmas Carol, Thumbelina, and Women Who Hate Their Jobs at Sol Theatre. He has also stage managed for West Boca Theatre, Slow Burn Theatre, Evening Star Productions, and the Jan McArt staged readings. Shannon Ouellette (Properties Design/Assistant Artistic Director): Shannon recently graduated with her Master of Fine Arts in Acting [FAU] and is so proud to be a small part of this meaningful show. Favorite credits: Clara [Hay Fever/FAU], Gonerill [King Lear/FAU], Mother Superior [Agnes of God/FAU], Hero [Much Ado/Outré], Female Swing [Water & Red Thread/ MTC] AD [Othello/ Outré], and co-writer (with Skye) on the world premiere of The Violet Hour: a Modern Medea with Outré. Todd Silver (Sound Design): Todd is currently enrolled in Florida Atlantic University pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Production and Design, with a concentration in Audio. Todd is also the Technical Director of Alpha Psi Omega Theatre Honor Society on FAU’s campus. He’s worked as Audio Engineer for FAU’s Productions of Once Upon a Mattress, Into the Woods and was Audio Designer/Engineer for FAU’s The Spitfire Grill. Also, Todd is currently employed at Parker Playhouse and Coral Springs Center for the Arts. He wishes to eventually go out and tour with a production as their Audio Engineer. Doug Wetzel (Director/Managing Director): Doug Wetzel, the Managing Director for Outré Theatre Company, is making his musical direction debut with American Idiot. He recently completed his Masters of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance at FAU. Doug was part of the cast for the Radio Shows Sunset Boulevard and You Can’t Take it With You at Arts Garage, and Kutumba Theatre’s production of Julie Johnson (Mr. Miranda). Other favorite acting credits at FAU include King Lear (Gloucester), Pillars of Society (Aune), Holy Ghosts (Rev. Buckhorn Sr.), and The Crucible (Giles Corey). In 2016, Doug directed Outré Theatre’s Carbonell nominated play The Normal Heart.

THE CREATORS Billie Joe Armstrong (Lyrics and Book): Billie Joe Armstrong, frontman of the rock band Green Day, came of age in the underground punk scene in Berkeley. Green Day’s albums include 1039/Smooth Out Slappy Hours; Kerplunk; 1994’s Dookie, which sold 15 million copies and garnered their first Grammy (and inspired a raft of imitators); Insomniac; Nimrod; Warning; 2004’s landmark American Idiot, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard chart, spawned five hit singles, and earned seven Grammy nominations (winning two, including Best Rock Album); 21st Century Breakdown (Grammy Award, Best Rock Album); and 2012’s consecutively released ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! (as well as the behind the scenes DVD, ¡Cuatro!). Last year, Armstrong and Norah Jones released Foreverly, a tribute to the Everly Brothers’ 1958 Songs Our Daddy Taught Us. The Tony and Grammy winning musical American Idiot, featuring lyrics by Armstrong, music by Green Day, and a book written by Armstrong and director Michael Mayer, opened on Broadway in 2010. Throughout its run, he made cameo appearances in the role of St. Jimmy. The recent documentary, Broadway Idiot, chronicles his road to the Great White Way. Armstrong also composed the music for These Paper Bullets currently being staged at the Yale Repertory Theatre. His other film and TV credits include This is 40, Nurse Jackie, and the upcoming feature film, Like Sunday, Like Rain. www.greenday.com Michael Mayer (Book): Mr. Mayer made his Metropolitan Opera debut with a celebrated new production of Rigoletto.
